Very nice little site - very undisturbed and nice to have trips without having to drive with too many other tourists
Nkasa Lupala is undiscovered jewel and even though we visited all the way from JHB (with 2 overnight stops) we loved every minute and we would recommend it to anybody . Friendly and efficient service, tastefully appointed tents with great views set in remote corner of Namibia and with diverse wildlife on its doorstep. Well done Simone and Ruggero , we will definately visit again.
A nice friendly camp but the lodges were tired and it was difficult to get hot water. An excellent guide. **
Second to Xaro. Highly recommended. Owners really went out of their way to successfully resolve a problem. Unfortunately, the images on their web site do not reflect the current low river levels. That's not to detract from the experience but owners need to ensure their messages reflect reality.
This was hands down, our favorite place: the people, the location, the food, the animals. The game drive and boat were fabulous with a wonderful guide (Fori). Even a small pool! Elephants right outside our tent at night (I mean RIGHT outside our tent). So much fun! Simone is a great host.
Really nice welcoming people (Owners Alex & Rogero are super friendly and knowledgeable) Great combi tour with Forry
The highlight of the trip. Great hosts, motivated staff, good guide - and the park was great, and not yet discovered by the masses
Tucked out of the way near the Nkasa Lupala national park this is a remote lodge. The stilted tents were good and so was the food and activities. The area was suffering from lack of rain so you could no longer take the boat cruise from out front of the lodge but had to transfer overland to the main river. Some of the decking around the pool area is also not finished, which makes it look at little untidy. Really nice place, out of the way, but just needs a little attention to detail to make it top notch.
"Interesting" long bumpy drive into Lodge. Tented accommodation OK. Food could have been more creative and larger serves. No animals around Lodge at this time of year, not much to do. Few animals spotted in Nat. Park.
A memorable stay, except that the shower water was never warm enough.
Comfortable and in a good location
An absolutely beautifully located lodge. It is wild and wonderful. With marvelous hosts and excellent activities. Being able to drive in the national park and then explore by boat was just wonderful.
it was a new experience staying at an enviromentally run spot. the staff were great as well. Only negative was the service was a bit wobbly at times in that there would be no water early in the morning and the water was not hot enough Our tent was great with the old fashioned victorian outside bath. really enjoyed the touch. Also the land game drive not up to much but the water trip portion was really good as got to see lots of elephant close up on the Botswana bank of the Linyanti river. This is the only leg of the entire trip where we had to use four wheel drive which was very easy to negotiate the 11 kms to the camp from sangwali village. Just for your info the road between Kongola via Sangwani, Linyati to katimo is just about completely tarred. We drove to Linyanti village and then took the first left at the intersection at Linyanti Village which took us up to the main tarred road between Kongola and katima. Again good gravel road.
This lodge is worth recommending. Beautiful location and luxury tents very nice and comfortable. The owner was not in but staff was very professional and extremely friendly.Combo drive perfect.
This place was amazing--beautiful setting, comfortable beds, gracious service, and good food. We did a safari drive with a boat excursion, led by Moses; and we had the pleasure of having the owner Simone accompany us. We saw elephants, hippo, water buffalo, giraffe, and much much more. This place is a small slice of paradise. A note, however, that there are huge but harmless spiders (Simone called them `flatties`) that liked to hang out in our bathroom; so beware! Even with the spiders, however, this place was fabulous.
Nice people, but no hot water in my tent (for two days).
Our absolute favorite! What a paradise! Beautiful beautiful lodge with lots of eco friendly ideas and Simon who owns the place took good care of us and took us on some wonderful and lucky game drives. We really regret we didn`t stay there more!
Wonderful place, very good food, great staff, beautiful area. Very much worth recommending. Loads of ellies, inside the camp as well. Game needs to get a bit more used to vehicles.
