A very comfortable lodge. Excellent location for visiting the seal colony and breaking up he journey down the skeleton coast.
Wonderfull rooms and view Dead Sea : amusing experience Mesum cratere : The perfect crazy man for this excursion
Good hotel and served its purpose well. We wouldn't recommend spending more than one night here, just using it as a stopping point or accommodation while viewing the seals.
Probably our favourite place to stay, really lovely with beautiful rooms and nice facilities and the reserve was incredible.
Very nice place and good diner
Splendid location, great rooms, very friendly staff, good food. Only comment: some heating in the rooms would have been nice.
Perhaps the room a little cold, but everything in Namibia is so nice that we forget every little thing!!!
Very nice lodge with great views, friendly staff, very good service and restaurant.
It was amazing to stay in Cape Cross lodge.
Great accommodation and the most wondrful manager who welcomed us when we arrived. Some of the best service we came across. Max: The drive there from Terrace Bay was an experience. Fording the Ugab was a highlight.
Very good room.
Another gem! This modern hotel was a welcome sight after the long drive down the Skeleton Coast (which we loved and were so happy that we took). I asked Allison in a quick email if there was no problem of taking the long road and she answered my email within minutes! Cape Cross rooms face the ocean, with decks, and had very comfortable beds and bath. The several-course meal included in our room rate was outstanding. The fire place in the lounge and restaurant made a cozy place to eat, drink and hang out.
This is a very nice location and the staff was very helpful. The afternoon tea and cake was a surprise and dinner and breakfast were both excellent.
Rooms food and service dissapointing not even 3 star rating. No management on site.
Very nice lodge. Comfortable - but needs an airconditioner / heater. Food quite good.
Beautiful setting, comfortable room, good dinner.
Fabulous. Staff really wonderful, nothing too much trouble. Room really lovely with view of the sea and private verandah. Food first class , they must have an excellent chef. Helpful, friendly. We loved our two night stay there.
Excellent facility and very good service. Friedly staff.
Modern premises. A must for portuguese related persons (Diogo Cao crosses).
The lodge is in a great position alongside the Cape Cross seal colony. Our room had amazing views of the Atlantic ocean. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
Good location, good restaurant with a roaring logfire and friendly staff. However the room had no heating and it was decidedly cold.
One of the best lodge. Surely if we go back to Namibia, we would like to book at Cape Cross lodge. Service effciently and food fantastic
We found this lodge a real surprise in terms of quality and setting, which were excellent. It was lovely going to sleep to the sound of the waves.
Lovely location. Access to the seal colony was wonderful.
Room 14, the first floor semi-suite, is definitely a great room. Huge, with high loft ceilings. Superb fittings...Eric wanted to bring the big floor lamp home with him. Lovley sea-view location. The mists can make it a bit chilly so take a sweater, even in summer, just in case.
So far from anywhere we expected this to just be an adequate overnight stop but this turned out to be a very comfortable evening. The room was large although a little stark but the guest lounge and dining room area was very comfortable with large sofas and open fires. Ask for a room on the ground floor to be able to walk straight out on to the sand.
In the middle of nowhere but charming and welcoming place. Very kind personnel, worth definitely a stop!
good position and very kind staff
A very nice and quite stop on the southern part of the skeleton coast. We found out that most of the activities need to be booked in advance as the guides are coming from Swakopmund, but the manager is very helpfull on the other activites. There is a small flamingo colony some 20 km south next to the salt pan and the seal colony, nice to be visited in the late afternoon.
Nice setting and bedrooms fine, but restaurant was cold, even with the fire burning.
Nice lodge, bit cold in winter because there is no heating in the rooms.
Nice seaside lodge, nice clean rooms with view on the sea, good reception and good food. Cold at this period of the year.
Enjoyed photographing the sunset over the sea from my balcony using the Chinese visitors on the shore line as `props`. Enjoyed talking with them after dinner about photography and China, many parts of which I know having lived in Hong Kong.
All fine except the food. The dinner was well below standard and the breakfast just OK. Otherwise a nice hotel to stop over while travelling from Torra Bay to Swakopmund.
Very good. Beautiful setting.
People are very professional
So delightful a place, staff went out of their way to help, due to a mishap we had, rooms very comfortable. Food first class
Nice location but not so comfortable
A wonderful place to spend some time and see the seals. Very good food and nice staff!
Very nice place
Friendly welcome, good room, good view. Let down by quality of food.
Comfortable bed and good food included in price.
Very beautiful lodge with great view
Great lodge, situated very close to the seal colony.
The weather was cold, so we didn`t stay well in this place. Maybe June is not the best season for this place.
More quaint than I expected...foggy drive....
This lodge is like a little oasis in the middle of the desert! We had a lovely big room, with an ocean-front view - it was like a little sanctuary after the chaos that was the seal colony!
excellent location, amazing food.
Almost deserted in this season, but very nice personnel and accommodation.
The first impression was very strange but the room was nice and the dinner one of the best we had in Namibia. Vote: 8/10
Good place and food
wow, such big and nice rooms, great view too!
An oasis on the Skeleton Coast. Very helpful staff with a high standard of service, excellent food, rooms very comfortable. Cannot fault this place in any way.
Not worth the stop over. The location is very isolated and the food was average, in hindsight we would not have stayed here but kept going to Damaraland
excellent evening meal
A lovely place were to stay ... good staff and lunch
Excellent dinner but it was very cold into the room!
Nice accomodation and very good restaurant.
nice place. friendly people. good food.
Lovely accommodation, friendly staff and good food. Great for a 1 night stop if you want to go and see the seals.
Superb! Nice view. Good service. One of our top locations.
We spent three nights and it was too much. One nignt is enough. The rooms are nice but there are a lot of construction works nearby and it is not very nice. The restaurant was not very good.
A very welcome stop after a long drive through desert, I don't think we would have wanted more than one night simply because of where it is but it is a stunning location and the sea views are great.
The best dinner.. very nice place
