was awesome, friendly, and helpful with information when we climb the Dunes
Delightful place. Very comfortable setting though the rooms were hot with only fans and no AC. The dinners here were excellent - a pleasant surprise. Kind service. After Le Mirage, this place had us feeling much more at home.
Very simple chalet accommodation, but good food and excellent advice on local area. Swimming pool too small to be of any use.
very high quality, definitely recommended
Far away from Sesriem, but all the rest of accomodation was fully booked. i would improve the dinner.
We only stayed 1 night. The sun downer drive was exceptional, up a hill with a superb view of the valley and surrounding mountians. Very nice guide drove us up.
An excellent little lodge with excellent food
I think the rooms need to be better maintained. The owners were really helpful and ready to help
A very efficient and professional service within a beautiful scenery.
Great little place just outside Sossusvlei. Staff were excellent and provided us with a breakfast bag if you want to get up early to go to Sossusvlei. Rooms were very nice and dinner was top marks.
This was an absolute gem and we will tell all of our friends about it! Food and service were outstanding.
A great setting for our first night in the desert. The manager was very informative about the best time to visit the dunes (dawn!) and told us how to drive all the way in 4x4 mode to the dunes without getting stuck in the sand, thereby avoiding the cost of the shuttle bus. Good food, very pleasant staff.
Beautiful and comfortable with great meals and service
Great location, nice chalet, Service very poor, food excellent but I had to ask a proper vegetarian meal even if they knew from your reservation. The second day the vegetarian meal was delicious.
Very good. Very welcoming hosts and a good package of accommodation and meals. Nice dinner, breakfast packs on offer for those wanting to leave early for Sossusvlei. We didn't do the local game drive as we'd been to Etosha already.
To recommand; apartement good; turned out to be much better than we thought in the first moment; meals (bakery!) were super !! very friendly (a little bit far away from Sesriem); had problem with the internet connection; we could not pay with VISA
Great place, pitoresque, beautiful, with an great welcome drink an refresing towels in our arrival. Simple things but make a brutal difference in the service. The staff was also very good and the meals are great!! The lodge is not so close to Sesriem gate, but have the most beautiful sunset I saw in Namibia. The chalet are made by stone and are, at the same time, simple and very confortable. They don't have air condicioned but it's not necessary, because the construction is cool when the day is hot and is warm when the night is cold.
Lovely location close to National Park - great food both nights - possibly the best of the trip.
Very friendly and lovely homecooked food.
Adequate - Accommodation comfortable/rustic - perhaps a bit tired
Great staff and food, comfortable lodging. A bit far from sossusvlei (though we knew this going in)
Although little Sossus Lodge is a bit far, we had great experience there and the owner Pierre is a very responsible and friendly guy.
Best lodge of our trip: nice bungalows, good food and friendly & professional staff
Service was great, but disappointed with the state of the lodge. Seemed outdated and the lack of air conditioning was a problem here. Days were extremely hot and the rooms held the heat into the night. Would not return.
Little Sossus had the best wi-fi connection of all the places I stayed, and the food was delicious. The room was charming with all of the stone work and I enjoyed the sundowner drive.
Nice accomodation helpful employees.
in hindsight, nice to be slightly out of Sesriem, nice stay, and not far from dunes
Great to do guided tour to sand dunes and around their own small game park
It was a very comfortable room.
Excellent location and services
Good location, excellent dinner! Very friendly and helpful manager.
Very nice place with friendly staff. Pierre, the manager, was the nicest, most helpful manager of any of the lodge managers I interacted with. Good food.
Very good welcome and very helpful. Beautiful excursion in the dunes.
Service at Little Sossus lodge was fine. On arrival, receptionist said we could easily do all of Sossusvlei in one day, so no need to already go their for sunset on the first day. We followed his advice and relaxed, but later felt sorry about this decision.
A nice little lodge in a beautiful setting. On arrival we were welcomed with fresh and moist face cloths and a cool drink. Very friendly owner! lodge is located not too far from the Sossusvlei, so you can reach it early in the morning. We were offered breakfast packages to take with us, so we could have our breakfast by the dunes. The rooms (family chalets) were nicely decorated and clean, with good beds, although we would have preferred the bathroom to be separated by a door from the room for more privacy. The bathroom had some other weak spots - the bathroom fittings were really quite outdated and replacement could probably cut down the water use a lot. The water stream from the shower head was so diffuse that it took very long to rinse your hair, also the toilet flush was to weak and took very long to refill. Dinner was quite good. Although I had forgotten to mention the three vegetarians in our group when I booked the kitchen managed to come up with special dishes for them for the starter and the main course. All in all a pleasant stay!
Nice Lodge with good food.
We really appreciated our stay there.
Wonderful time at this small family run lodge. Nice to have a set meal for a change and it was really appreciated. Also did have triple share room at a reasonable price.
very nice place, wonderfull food, but hot water only in some hours of the day
Lovely rooms in this lodge. Excellent food and good service. The owners spent time chatting with guests which made it very personal.
Beautifull location and landscape. The tour to Sossusvlei was really well organised. Our guide knew really well where and when to go to avoid the massive flow of tourists. During most of our visit, we were complitely alone (what can be quite dificult during hight season in Sossusvlei). I really recommend the tour with Hendrey and its brother.
EXCELLENT SUR TOUS LES POINTS UNE TRES BONNE ADRESSE
Friendly, helpful staff. Accommodation good, clean but electric socket unsafe. The shower (water heated by outside fire) scalding, steaming hot early evening. Food adequate but set meal, main course, disappointing. It is a long way to Sossusvlei. Payment by card a problem because of satellite connection (weather related).
Price for dinner shock at R230 for what you get. Also price per night quite steep in comparison with other lodges we have stayed.
Very nice place, helpful, friendly, good spot for trip to sossusvlei, relaxing, nice swim pool
Despite the appearance of the chalets from the outside the rooms are big, cool and well appointed. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Reception on arrival was very good. Food was expensive and not quite up to the level of most other lodges. Wi-Fi working, but very slow.
Stayed in a chalet. It was very good. The food was also very good. The staff asked about any food allergies when we arrived and catered for my wife`s gluten free diet.
fantastic...very very friendly, good clean rooms, excellent food, highly recommend it.
Had a very nice reception. Facilities has a lot of character. Service is good and they understand their target market.
Toller Platz. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefahlt. Gigantische Aussicht von den Hauschen aus und klasse Essen. Auch nach Sossusvlei zu kommen war kein Problem. Das ist leicht zu machen.
Too good to commment!!!
A great location. Excellent food. We felt very comfortable here.
charming, great family feeling
Lovely location and views; well appointed bandas, good service. Not much to do (walking/driving) in the immediate vicinty compared to Weltevrede.
Wonderful. Nr 2. on our lodge-hitlist. Warm welcome and good food and nice lodge.
nice lodge, but a bit far away from Sossusvlei. Food was very good
We enjoyed our stay there
Excellent, greatly appreciated welcome (drinks) by the exploiter (the only place where this was done).
Wonderful site that is protected for the elements
We enjoyed observing and engaging with al but one of the Germishuisen family going about entertaining us with a guided tour of the Vlei, a spectacular sunset drive and really good food and wine. We especially enjoyed the enthusiasm of the younger Germishuisens for the Vlei and their local environment. Also merits a repeat, in (hopefully) slightly less wet weather next time.
Lovely! Perfect! Quiet, nice an beautiful! The food was excellent.
well, we like it. The staff was friendly and helpful
we enjoy very much that place, the lodge very confortable, the owner very nice
beautifull place in romantic enviroment in the midlle of nature.
Nice Place. Kind People
Very nice lodge, good location between Namib desert (sossusvlei) and Naukluft mountains. Friendly team and comfortable room.
Friendly welcome, nice accommodation
Pleasant stay, friendly and helpful staff. Lighting a little too subdued in the dining room. Good food. Comfortable accommodation. A little oasis in the desert.
Very welcoming and charming lodge. Our chalet had an amazing view. The lodge also provides a brekfast pack before heading out to the dunes.
great setting, good accommodation, food a little strange but fine
Very nice, but a little far from Soussevlei
Simple but well managed
A pleasent surprise: new, elegant; good cuisine
