Very good lodge but I would rather stay inside the reserve at Namutoni, even though it's a bit run-down. I found the drive to and from the park too long. What I did like and highly recommend, especially for photographers is their hide.
We had a good stay in Onguma Bush Camp. Did not like the first family type bungalow that we were assigned (no aircon, and weird layout), but were able to switch to a regular bungalow with a mattress on the floor, which we preferred. Cute and funny warthogs grazing on the lawn every morning - and great pool!
Lovely place and great location
A real treat, with super service and no problem to add the 3rd person in an adjoining room, at a reasonable price.
Luxurious camp with excellent service! A wonderful experience!
Great location in beautiful surroundings, excellent food
Good room and lovely food. Initially disappointed that there were no animals around but as it was so close to the entrance gate we just went into Etosha for a couple of hours.
Very nice. Actually, since it is so close to the park it is really a nice place to stay. Last time we stayed in both their other camps and for the money, this is good.
An extremely comfortable and picturesque lodge with great food and attentive service. The game drives they offered were fun (we particularly enjoyed our drive/walk with David), though they seemed to be a bit on the expensive side for trips around Onguma alone. It's a good spot for families, though if one wants to avoid children, it might be worth considering one of Onguma's other properties.
very welcoming. Also, knowing we had wedding anniversary, they offered a separate table with free sparkling wine. Beautiful.
Really nice lodge. We were really amazed by the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were really spacious and luxurous. The food was delicious.
Lovely chalet in a really peaceful camp. There was not much wildlife to see at their waterhole though.
After reading a couple of guide books we expected something quite simple. However Onguma far exceeded that. A lovely place with beautiful rooms and, once again, really lovely food and friendly staff. The rhino research program drive was simply sensational, the best drive we went on all holiday. Would have loved to fit a second night in here
Our favourite - not that any others were bad! Great location, accomodation, food and service. Great that dinner was included in the price.
This was by far the best place on our trip. The accommodation was excellent, spacious and clean and the food and service were impeccable. The decor was outstanding in the lodge and we loved dining open air by the waterhole.
Lovely camp, excellent service, terrific guide.
Very nice. Very good service and food. Disappointing excursions - night drive and bush walk.
Generally very nice and friendly staff.
Wonderful management. Incredibly kind and helpful!
Stunning accomodation just outside Namutoni. Good place to relax. Wish we had stayed two nights instead of one.
A very good establishment and we would definitely stay there again if returning to Etosha. It was a nice surprise.
beautiful and perfect for families, very safe and neat place!
Very beautful and relaxing place, good restaurant and enourmous settlers room. Very happy to be there at the sunset in the waterhole despite some insects. Unfortunately information about night game drive was missing from the reception lady and we stayed only one night so we`re disappointed about didn`t have the chance to do it.
Thought this was a lovely place to stay, nice service and meals and setting. Well run.
Excellent lodge. Great pool
Wonderful, beautiful and luxurious. Highlight of our trip. Highly recomended
A bautiful and relaxing lodge with a very good and kind staff.
This was a gem. Lovely facilities and staff were great. Highly recommend it
Excellent lodge. No animals at the waterhole, though.
Extremely nice setting, nice staff and very good food. Best place to visit close to Etosha.
Great place to stay, near the eastern entrance of Etosha. Unfortunately, because the lodge is quite new, not that many animals near the waterpool yet. However, having said that, there is an abundance of birds and we had a lot of fun watching the squirrels around the pool
Great accommodation. Very nice staff, and service, excellent food.
Fantastic! The food, service, and grounds were wonderful.
Very nice and great service
The best ever experience in a wildlife setting. Excellent professional service
One of the best places we stayed. If we would go back we would stay here longer and skip Halali. Very friendly staff, beautiful room, nice swimming pool (larger than all other ones)
Well, Onguma was the closest to my idea of Heaven on Earth! I simply loved it and enjoyed my stay there very, very much!!!
We enjoyed the pool and the beautiful gardens. Friendly staff. Good food.
A beautiful location and lovely rooms. Very expensive and not worth staying here if your interest is Etosha. The staff service was the best we`d experienced in Namibia.
Driving into Onguma from main road - surrounded by so many wonderful animals. Our first giraffe sighting was so exciting. Arriving at the Camp - we were greeted so warmly and were delighted to discover such a lovely place. The guide book I had mentioned that it was very spartan and not very comfortable - so I was expecting something quite shabby and maybe disappointing. Onguma couldn`t have been more different: it was stylish, peaceful, natural, well maintained with gorgeous gardens. Not very large and felt quite special. We wished we could have stayed another day to enjoy the pool and just relaxing. Staff were delightful.
13 oct 2011 Very nice and cosy place, friendly and welcoming staff. The restaurant is too closed to the waterhole so you need to have dinner and breakfast in the dark because of sort of flies.
Fantastic - we got upgraded to the Luxury tents as there was a problem in the bush camp. It was fabulous!
Beautiful lodge with very fiendly staff. We had no inroom safe (like on your website). Good dinner and breakfast. New waterhole in front of the dining/bar-area, but the wild animals don't know this - they don't come yet.
verry nice lodge with excellent food
Splendid, our nr. 1 on our lodge hitlist. Nice place, nice food and warm service.
A very pleasant luxury lodge location right next to the National Park gate. Individual round ensuite chalets with an outdoor restaurant and excellent food. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. One drawback was the number of flies but hopefully this problem can be resolved. Even with the flies we would highly recommend this accommodation.
Very friendly personell. Nice camping with own facilities. We'd go there again.
We got upgraded to the plains camp and the place was amazing
very nice and cosy place, friendly reception, good food. Renovated july 2011.
Brilliant place! Very well organized and brand new, good staff
We were here on a very cold night, the first time I have ever had to wrap in a blanket for dinner, but the place is lovely, and we enjoyed the tents
Well what can i say we were moved to the tree tops as the bush camp was having work done to it. It made a great start to our holiday the staff and accommodation were of a very high standard. Only regret is that we did not stay for 2 nights instead of staying at Okaukuejo Resort. Would recommend by what else we saw in Onguma it was to a very good standard of accommodation. Breakfast and dinner were very good.
Great lodge, with high-level bush-chalets. The room was very nice, richly decorated and with a spacious bathroom. Garden, pool, and common areas very well maintained. Great restaurant service and unforgettable sunset dais!
a very nice lodge; pitty that we could only for 2 nights
beautiful, very polite and great comfortable rooms
Fantastic dining area and very convenient for that end of Etosha. The room was a bit disappointing compared to our other experiences but only in a sense that the outlook from the room was of an overgrown area with rubbish in it. The room itself was fine.
