Great location and excellent guide drives.
Very well organised, although home for many tourists, really good and fresh food, big and clean rooms, bathroom has been the best of our whole stay in Namibia
Dreadful - this was not 'luxury' accommodation, no warm welcome here, found it quite basic, really poor customer service, very busy and staff not able to cope with numbers, hot food was poor, only advantage is location. Two nights was too long here, couldn't wait to leave it
Nice lodge, food was good, nice activities available.
Good standard of accommodation and food.Staff not v helpful in the restaurant and breakfast time was chaotic.
Very nice hotel, very nice dinner and breakfast.
Only 500meters from the park entrance, room (without TV but this is not the point) and food were very good, but wi-fi area was limited, and the swimming pool was kind of small.
Great location at the edge of the park. A must see
excellent position, excellent dinner, not very good rooms
Great location and rooms. Service is OK. They have buffet lunches and dinner. There are vegetarian dishes available just not a lot of choices.
A great selection of game meats for dinners, which was nice. The staff were also helpful if you asked for advice on how and when to drive into sossusvlei. Very conveniently located just outside the gates to sesriem.
The best place in Namibia! The food is perfect and the staff is always smiling. The rooms are very clean. The thing I didn't like is that the chefs who cook outdoors is also not given as divided a jacket or a fleece to keep warm, the evening is really cold. The lodge is so expensive that can afford to give them some more suitable garment for the outdoor work.
Very nice! Nice accommodations. Excellent food. Beautiful view!
Best accommodations on the entire trip. Very classy place
Great place, beautiful setting, the diner buffet is awesome and worth the trip just for it.
the room was good. good location, close to the park entrance. It has been fantastic have dinner under the stars. The food was very good, particular the meat and the noodles.
Beautiful lodge with very good services and delicious food. Maybe a little bit expensive but at least the quality is there. Very nice to be so close to the entrance of the park to be able to go to the dunes early especially with young kids at it is getting really hot quickly.
Beautiful. And the food was amazing.
Not really our cup of tea - rather large lodge but it was adequate. Pity we didn\'t have two nights in Sossus Dune Lodge
Well located but a bit crowded. It`s more a resort/hotel than a Lodge!
Correct. Very good meal.
this was my parents favourite location - the staff were so friendly and the vista was beautiful
An absolutely wonderful setting. Accommodation really special, food and service brilliant. The balloon ride over the dunes was something to always be remembered.
Excellent. We were lucky enough to be assigned cabins close to the main building and overlooking the water-hole. The lodge is in the perfect location for a morning visit to Sossusvlei. Very enjoyable evening game drive in the lodge grounds. Fantastic evening buffet with braai.
2 things wrong receiving us no help with luggage and directions to room. Breakfast very poor lots off complaints for example no filling up of bacon, no one to eggs orders waited 15 minutes for service, etc
Stood out from other accommodation as most like a `country club,` for better or worse. Comfortable rooms, but also many tourists on tour busses.
The setting of the accommodation was great. The dining facilities and food were great. One night here may have been sufficient.
Great views, especially since we took advice and got the cottages at the edge. But the sewage smell from the nearby campsite was offputting. Amazing buffet with different native meats to choose for dinner. Probably best choice of foods.
Massive lodge by Namibian standards but we had a room right on the edge (thanks) so it felt still quite calm at the room.
good food, nice place
A really nice place. Very comfortable and the family cabins were ideal for our purposes. The staff were very helpful especially those in the adventure centre. The food was excellent and varied.
Great Buffet (slighly less `classy` than the others)
I really did enjoy staying here. Very comfortable, luxury, good food, friendly staff. Beautiful country, a must for all people travelling in the region.
OK, ac kept breaking down. Food good but next time will stay in the park.
was my seccond time there, always a joy
fantastic. Meat and food delicious and our lodge was faboluos
Very nice lodge with fantastic barbecue in the evening
Too touristic, not for me
Good experience - great buffet dinner
Great service great food great accommodation
We loved this exquisite but pricy lodge. Great experience.
Nice place to visit the dunes. Meals are buffet only but the grill options are superb. The rooms are getting a bit old but the feeling of being in a tent is nice. Very friendly staff.
The Sossusvlei Lodge was one of the most unique and interesting lodges that we stayed at during our visit to Namibia. The staff was wonderful and the food was out of this world. I would highly recommend it. It was close to the Namib Desert which is a must see while in Namibia. I loved it!!
excellent buffet, lodging nice.
Beautiful place and certainly well worth visiting - but the roads are shocking. I would advise anyone to rather fly there. I will next time.
Great place. Top notch
great setting, lovely choice of food and good service
Super location & great food. The first night we were there was very windy, so we didn't get much sleep as the tent structure was very noisy. we enjoyed the quad biking, but (unusually for us) did not make use of the pool. However, if we go to Sossusvlei again, we shall try to book even earlier in order to stay in the park, as we had to queue 30 minutes to get in, even with a pre-paid permit, so missed the early morning sun.
wonderfull place, wonderfull food!!!
beautiful, good location for the dunes and ........a wonderful buffet!!!!!!!
Very nice place, excellent service, employees, accomodation, an oasis at the desert, very nice food, everything was great at Sossusvlei Lodge.
Unreal views and food! Great staff and accomodations. I particularly loved it here. Although there is not any wildlife close by, the accomdations are relaxing and right out on the desert. The tent cabins are very unique and we enjoyed them. There is an obervation tower on site, however it was very dirt and filty (bird scat).
Very good lodge with very delicious dinner. Friendly staff. Beautiful rooms (tents).
Great, no problems.
A splendid place but in retrospect we only needed 2 nights there instead of 3. Outstanding food and service and we liked our tented unit. The larger more hotel-style atmosphere suited us better than the smaller lodges. Had we wished to take trip, though, the range was quite limited.
Wonderful lodge, very good location of the rooms, I think because they work with you .
Loved it! Staff and facility were extraordinary for the location. Excellent food.
Well situated at the entrance of the Sossusvlei park. Poor breakfast, but we spent only 1 night, is it usually different ?
We loved it there! Did the dune tour through their Adventure centre-was really worth it, hassle-free. Food was really good, stunning kudu steaks again and too many desserts (not sands, the pudding type)!
Super and fantastic
Another wonderful resort - exceptional service, beautiful accommodation and good dining (although we are not keen on buffets).
amazing portions at dinner, friendly service
A well organised and pleasant place. Good food. Handy to have adventure center in-house and petrol station next door, and actually to be next door to the Sossusvlei park gate.
Perfect, perfect, perfect - everything.
Due to it`s size it is not as personalized as the other places so I felt like we arrived at `resort` with a lot of tourists. At first I was disappointed with the rooms but then they grew on me. I wish the rooms had fridges.
Beautiful place! Incredible to find such luxury in the desert, nice restaurant, good food and excellent service.
Nice lodge, separate, private rooms with a wilderness view from the attached patio. Food buffet offered a wide selection, including a large variety of wild game meats, but we especially enjoyed the stir fry. The guide and tour to Sossusvlei was good, but the open vehicle was miserably cold going. Caters to large tours, which somewhat reduces the individual experience.
Loved it. Loved the dunes
We were extremely pleased with this lodge. The location is pretty much unbeatable for the price, unless you're at one of the spots inside the park gate (which are either very expensive, or camping only). As such, we were very happy with our choice. The buffet dinner was gluttonous, with all the grilled meat you could dream of. Rooms were very tasteful and had a safari-chic feel to them. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the location is stunning. They have a well organized trip center which is helpful for excursions in the area if you're into that. Great spot, highly recommended.
Nice rooms in separate units. Not too peacefull as they have tour busses staying there. Buffet is quite nice. I recommand the flight over the dune they offer at the Lodge, it's wonderfull.
Very nice lodge and had a great time here. The villa was lovely and gave enough space for us and was right next to the pool which was perfect. This place offered the best restaurant/food of all the resorts we stayed -- the dinner buffets were very nice. The excursion to the dunes was awesome and we had an amazing time. We also enjoyed the downtime at the resort pool and the bar area for drinks.
Good, big and expensive
Nice place, very good restaurant, but a little too expensive when compared to other beautiful places we stayed in.
brillant buffet but receptionists have just not been helpful...
Surprisingly felt private considering it's a large establishment. good food selection
The Lodge was very good and the buffet was excellent!!!
Total praise for this place. Right service, right location, excellent dining. Would go there again
Absolutely lovely place - wonderful food and great staff.
Recommended, nice dinner and room
When we drove up I thought we weren't going to like it at all because it was such a big place, but in fact we had a brilliant tent/room, overlooking the waterhole. The staff were fantastic and apart from mealtimes you wouldn't have realised you were in such a busy place. Good choice but I think room selection is important here, the ones further back from the waterhole wouldn't have made us as happy. Well done.
I love this place. It is my second stay and I recommend it to everybody.
The best one.. wonderful
