We arrived late (after dark) so we did not see the actual camp sites, as they were difficult to reach in the dark, but were accomodated at the parking lot, which we appreciated, as we were the ones that were late. A nice stop on our way to Sossusvlei.
Bullsport is a very little town mostly occupied with this farm. Visitors have to be aware that the campsite is located 6 km away from the reception and dinner room it self, so if you book the dinner you will have to go back to the farm with the car (which means most of the time that you will have to install your tent on the roof at night after dinner). The dinner itself is okay but not excellent. The staff here is quite rough but the owner is a very helpful and kind young man. The campsite is located in a very wild and beautiful setting at the entrance of the Quivertree gorge, which is the best place is you want to do this 6 hours hike. The hike is wonderful and if you are lucky you can spot zebras, baboons AND beware of the spitting cobra named "Amanda" which is a resident of the gorge !
An excellent surprise. I choose Bullsport only to brake the return trip to Windhoek, as a place to rest, but I found a place where I feel at home. I didn't do the activities, but in Bullsport is possible to ride horses, hike and had a guided visit to Naukluft Mountains. The rooms are very confortable and the food is good!!
Nice rooms and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the family style eating which allowed us to exchange ideas and plans with other guests. Great food. The horse riding was well run and my girls had a great time. Good access to Naukluft Park.
A great experience. Welcoming, comfortable. We were made to feel at home with the family.
Loved everything about this place - but then I love farm life. Day trip to Sossulessvlei ( though expensive approx R 3200 for 2 ) was well worth it. Would definitely go to Bullsport again
Excellent food at a communal table. Owners pleasant and accommodating.
We really appreciated our stay there.
I grew up on a farm, this was great. The owners were nice to answer my farming questions. They ate with us, family style. We split our party and took the horse tour (2 people 1 hour) and valley drive (2 people, 2 hours). It was well enjoyed.
This is a really nice place, well run with a lot of attention to detail by the family owners. The communal dining table concept actually works really well and was a nice change from the other dining experiences we had. We would very much recommend their Quiver Tree trail, which was actually one of our Namibian highlights, a beautiful walk.
Bullsport is really in the middle of nowhere! We stayed for 2 nights, which we didn`t need really. We could have stayed one and still gone horse riding in the morning. Johanna is an expert horse woman and we felt very safe when out riding with her. The beds were so comfortable and we felt very welcome
Enjoyed the social time with the owners and other guests. Good to be able to do the walks which were very good
We plan to return here next time- and for several days or a week and to coincide with the geology weekends they plan to do (starting this weekend, if i recall). We especially liked the Gorge hike, the staff and owners, food, care and training of the horses. It`s a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Very good place for activities such as hiking, horse riding!
Very helpful, very nicely appointed only spoilt by the weather, rain the first for 8 months! Good food nice atmosphere, all guests ate together in dining room
A real pleasure. Really nice setting, great hospitality from Ernst, Joanna and their son.
Fantastic hiking possibilities in the Namib Naukluft, great food, close contact to farm life and owners
It was OK. The lodge was perfect, really nice. But the food was less.
Was a lovely guest farm and we enjoyed our stay there
Good rooms and well set up with excellent meals provided. We enjoyed the walks which were well marked and varied. While the hosts were very hospitable, we had the feeling that they were interested in providing additional services at a cost. An example was that there was a charge for afternoon coffee and cake.
Fantastic campsite - a lovely place to stay.
We camped here, and we were the only campers that night so had the whole place to ourselves. We felt so away from everything, camping under the stars was great and Bullsport provided food for the braai too, which was freshly caught that day. We had a great time here and was the perfect way to finish off our Namibia trip.
