Very nice place and easy to go in Etosha Park West
A massive lodge on the outskirts of the national park, this was probably the one place that suffered a little as being TOO big. The service in the restaurant was great, they were very friendly and nice to kids, but the front-desk seemed a little over-worked and made some rookie-mistakes that we would not expect from a place like this (calling in a problem and forgetting to send someone over, told that a safari was full (when it was not) and instead getting a run-down car with a driver with very little knowledge of animals/park, told we could have a late check-out on one of our two rooms (an hour), but later told it was not possible. Just these small things that added up to be somewhat a little bit of a negative experience (but nothing major) and the rooms are really pretty and the view from the restaurant-area is phenomenal and having giraffes walking just outside your cabin is a fantastic experience.
Our least favourite lodge probably because it was too large. But the location , close to Andersson gate was good.
Nothing in particular and less charm than the others. Basic accommodations, clean & practical if not staying in the park. Definitely push for being in the park to avoid the traffic at the gates.
Fantastic location and setting.
More than fulfilled our expectations.
Good place. Rooms comfortable. A bit crowded compared to others places we stayed in.
Good location, nice accommodation. The sunset terrace and bar are a great idea.
An excellent base for seeing Etosha. The rooms are large and pleasant and the bar and dining areas take advantage of the great views. The food was great.
Nice lodge but spoiled (for us) by huge group of Germans, not all of whom were well behaved. We witnessed a very nasty racist argument between a tourist and the hapless receptionist. Beautiful terraced area for eating but we found the whole place a bit utilitarian and the food dull and Germanic.
Perfect sunset view and great setting
OK, but needs some freshing up of the lodges given the prices..
Die is voor waar `n baie mooi lodge. Die huisies was luuks en die lugreeling `n welkome lafenis in die hitte
Perfect end to our safari. Gorgeous accommodation. Excellent service
The best food of all.
One of the best lodges I have ever been, on the hill with magnificient views, good staff, good buffet
The location of the lodge is ideal if you don`t like to stay over night in the park because it is just 20 minutes away from Okaukuejo. As it is a large lodge you have to be aware that it takes time to walk from your chalet to the main building. Worst case could be 10 minutes but is is a nice walk. The quality of the evening meal depends from the amount of available guests. If there are more than hundred people in the lodge the run to the buffet is always the same and food and services become weak which than is a disadvantage for guests who booked individually and not in the group. But nevertheless the lodge is really nice and the views are magnificent.
Very pleasant accomodation. Nice and helpfull staff.
Very nice Lodge. Nice rooms, good meals.
Marvelous views, good room for a family, great pools. Staff quiet anonymous.
It would be nice if they had a larger selection of vegetarian foods at dinner. Also, there was only cold water in the shower and I would have liked warm water; the solar panels are apparently not working as they should. The staff were very friendly and their tour guide for the tour into Etosha, Otto, was wonderful.
It's quite big with many chalets, but the service is good and we had a good dinner and breakfast
Great place again. Recommendation to go to for 2 nights
V good welcome here. Rooms lovely and spacious. Great location for park, but let down by the food. Only buffet food while we were there and it wasn't very good. We took a half day tour into park, but were unlucky to see very little. We didn't realise it took so long for the bus to get to the park so on a half day trip too much time was spent on the road. Seats at back of bus not very comfortable if you have bad back.
Brilliant venue with very friendly and informed staff who seemed to know what they were doing. Rooms really nicely done and a unique layout along the ridge. Had long chats with the Manager. Highly reommended. (Nice to see eco friendly water heating)
Really nice. I would have liked to stay one more night
