We would probably have preferred 1 night at Toshari and 2 nights at Makuti but then we would have probably missed the aftermath of the lion kill of the giraffe at the Andersen Gate area of Etosha but, on the other hand, we might have seen something else on the other side. The bar and restaurant at Toshari has not been rebuilt yet but Louie, the new Manager, is providing a very good substitute service in a mega tent with entertainment at dinner every night.
We had an excellent guide in Alfie and his ability to spot game was terrific.
There were only two of us on the tour. In retrospect, we might have been better just hiring a car and doing our own thing. The accommodation was great, and I would return to both lodges. I liked the facilities and ambience of Mokuti especially. It is also very close to the park, whereas Toshari is a bit far.
Our guide is very knowledgeable and friendly.
