Good accomodation, honest food, very active waterhole where we could see various animals day and night. The afternoon game drive in their reserve is a must, we had the chance to see even a group of lions resting near a pond.
a wonderful lodge. Very comprehensive in the safari drive experience. Knowledgeable, great guides and information for safety. I highly recommend thislodge
Exclusive, very good. Choose well the room, because eventually you will increase chances to see an animal through your window.
Right outside of Etosha, I would definitely recommend Ongava Lodge and especially their afternoon drive. We were lucky to see Lions very close as well as elephants, giraffes and many more. Did not drive with them into Etosha. Ah, their waterhole is amazing and we saw black rhinos both nights we stayed there
Ongava was good, they tried hard with the food, we drove ourselves into Etosha so we can't comment on that, we did one game drive with them, we didn't see many animals, but the night hide was great. The waterhole below the camp is very active all day and night.
We found Ongava very luxurious. The game drive was superb.
Great place - rooms were outstanding and food very good. Highly recommended.
Our stay at the Ongava Lodge was one of the highlights of our trip to Namibia. With easy access to Ongava`s private game reserve and nearby Etosha National Park, the lodge offered an unforgettable safari experience. The staff, and in particular, `Teacher`, our safari driver/guide were excellent in all respects and the accommodations were first-rate. Also worth mentioning is the view from Ongava`s open-air dining area, which offers panoramic views of the private reserve and overlooks a watering hole. Over the course of our stay, we saw a range of animals, including black rhinos, giraffes, zebras, from the comfort of our table. A great way to start/finish the day.
Impressive management and staff. Very accommodating with personal requests and were able to help us relocate to Ongava tented camp for one night to get that experience.
10/10. Couldnt fault it.
Fantastic. Beautiful. Saw many animals on the reserve and in Etosha. The guiding was great. All of the staff/accommodations/food great. Views excellent.
This camp just outside the Andersson`s Gate of Etosha was very luxurious. This of course reflected in the price, but was well worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the chalets very well appointed. We were fortunate enough to have a chalet with a waterhole directly in front, being able to see giraffe and other animals drinking, from the shower, is an experience to be remembered. There is a hide by the waterhole but this and the guides and safaris, are better booked before arrival. We were lucky to get the hide on our last night, but had the camp been full we may have missed out. We had 3 nights here and it was worth it, there was time to sit and relax and having a coffee on our chalet deck and watching the animals at the waterhole was a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Excellent all round - rooms, staff, food etc. were amongst the best we encountered. We didn`t see as much as expected on our game walk and game drive, but management gave us the game walk FOC which was very good.
Outstanding location, accomadation, food, personnal and activities. The best of all our trip.
Excellent lodge as regards location and service. In particular, food was prepared there to perfection, the guide very professional and committed. Definetely a place to recommend, even though very pricey.
The jewel in the crown. What a way to celebrate our last night out in the wild! Glorious communal setting overlooking a (floodlit) waterhole and hills off in the distance. The chalets were to die for. We loved the very understated luxury of the place. Went out on and evening game drive and were treated to a lioness and her cub stopping only metres away from our jeep and lots of rhinos. Food was excellent. Another place to return to.
Excellent all round apart possibly from the food which wasnt quite up to scratch. Also we would have liked to do some night drives which were advertised but not offered.
very nice lodge and location but lodge would be perfect if we had a mosquito net and a small mini bar in the room
Fantastic, all of tem were fantastic, the place is fantastic, we recomend
Beautiful setting, wildlife walks past your room. Food not very good, we complained and it improved however not as good as other lodges. Wines not very good either. We had the best safari drive of our vacation, they have a private reserve so nobody else around.
Also excellent. Rooms airy and very comfortable, staff friendly and food terrific. It was all good.
The best Lodge in Namibia. Rooms spectacular, fantastic activities, the food is quite ok but they must improve it.
fine ; should improve the pool area accessibility
Awesome location ... we loved it!
very nice and friendly.......recommendable
Nice lodge but void of any atmosphere. The game drive was only in the private park, not into Etosha and with us having to leave early the next day we didn't get a game drive into Etosha while we were here, therefore a bit of a waste of time.
We have mixed feelings. Most aspects very good but poor service in general. Also, we were lied to by one of the managers regarding activities. Specifically we were told that nature walks / rhino tracking was not available due to the long grass and the danger of lions. However, we later discovered that another 6 guests were in fact doing this activity the next morning.
the location and lodge is amazing but management and service is not at its top price level
Wonderfull, good game drive
wonderful location; beautiful infrastrucure and welcome; a group of italian tourist damaged a little the atmosphere ....
We love it! We love the staff!
A lovely lodge with great game in their private reserve
good but not fantastic. We did't have nice food.
