The staff was very friendly, the food was nice and the place was amazing and peaceful (you could see the animals from the pool). I would go back.
Great place, great staff, quad bikes are a must do, go for tent with private pool!!!
Disappointing and over-priced. The tented accommodation was really quite poor, especially compared with Kulala (which was on the only other tented accommodation I stayed in). It was dark (not even a reading / bedside light), the tent `windows` didn`t open or stay open, and it was really cold. They provided hot water bottles, and the duvets were lovely and warm though. The bathroom was fine. The main lodge was also very cold in the morning and evenings and although they lit the fire, the shape of the room meant you only really felt it if you were sitting right in front of it. The outside deck and pool area was lovely during the day, and overlooked the pan and a water hole, so there was plenty to see. I just felt this accommodation was tired and of a lower quality than the other places I stayed, yet it cost more than almost everywhere else.
The road to to this lodge was very bad and it took us 1 and a half hour in an off-road 4X4 vehicle to cover the 42kms. The tented camp itself was very nice with pleasant helpful staff. The location in the Kalahari was beautiful and we were really taken with this area. Once again we went quad bike riding with one of the guides, Chamberlain, and had a great time. Riding up and down the stunning red dunes and along the green valleys with animals on either side of us was fantastic. Chamberlain also took us for a sundowner drive which we thoroughly enjoyed and the game viewing was very good. We weren`t expecting too much and were very pleasantly surprised by both the Kalahari and the lodge.
An absolute gem in the kalahari - we loved it and the food outstanding
