Very nice lodge but the tends are not all with bathroom adjoining , no problem if you arenot afraid by the insects ! Pleasant to eat all on the same table and the food is very good.
Not very communicative and due to bad weather not a very good experience.Access to the boat dangerous **
nice place on the river with the noise of hippos
For several people, this was their favourite accommodation. Gary and I were very glad to see the same locum managers again, Monica and Johan, as well as the owner, Horst. They are excellent hosts, clearly love their job and ensure such comfort for all their guests. We were provided with a very good lunch on arrival and dinners were to the same high standard. A beautiful spot with many hippos to see. Very enjoyable cruise and game drive.
We were disappointed with the tent accommodation. I think the description of luxury tent is stretching it a lot. The location on the river is very good for birds and the hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed the food but I thought it was over priced for the standard of the accommodation. To be fair Anita (at Cardboard Box Travel Shop) did warn us but their Trip Advisor reviews are very good.
A wonderful experience, really special. Fantastic staff, guides and very good facilities (sundowner boat trip, game drive in Bwabwata).
We stayed in a river tent just next to the hippos which was wonderful! The furniture and interior design of the tent was quite run down and dated however and the managing staff (which was temporarily) was a bit odd... This was also the only place were the rest of the staff wasn`t happy, friendly and talkative but quite shy, almost afraid, which was a strange feeling compared with the other lodges.
The atmosphere and the personnel (joaquin and Monica) is really nice and we appreciated a lot the possibility to socialise with other travellers during dinner.
past its prime.....would need some changes......would not recommend it...
It was NOT OK. We payed a lot for this lodge, it was dirty and the food was not so good. Only the location was wonderful. We payed too much for this one.
Ndhovu Safari Lodge has a special place in our hearts. The tents are so comfortably appointed in a magnificent setting just a short distance from the water and amid the sound of hippos far into the night. Communal dining in the attractive lodge made for interesting shared stories over excellent meals, including an extraordinary oryx goulash! Both the river and land tours were very well organized, yielding fabulous opportunities for game-viewing.
very relaxing place
helpful staff - a bit out-of-the-way lodge
this was lovely wished we had 2 days here
