We all thought this lodge needs some renovations, even if it's the only in town it should be better maintained.
Awful! I left after 1st night due to large cockroaches in the shower. There was a large group so I was offered what looked like a little used room. There was no toilet seat (remedied when I requested one) - the room was musty and I was happy that I had my own sleeping bag - nothing was quite clean. The parking is secure and the location okay but the lock and chain on the reception door a little daunting. Reception staff least friendly of my various lodging - dinner staff pleasant and friendly and dinner was good.
Ohakane Lodge is situatet right in Opuwo. It is very quiet, although ii is lokated directly in the centre. Meals were great. We organized a trip to a Himba village. It was an absolut great experience!!
Spent one night here on our way to Epupa Falls. The room was fine, breakfast was good, parking was secure and once inside the compound the setting was pleasant. There was some music from the nearby bars, but it did not adversely influence our sleep. Staff were friendly and we had an excellent evening meal. Staying here gave us an opportunity to see the township of Opuwo which we appreciated.
Good, but not the best.
On Thursday evening we went alone so the service was minimal. On Sunday evening, with more guests we had for diner a starter and at breakfast filter coffee (and not instant coffee like Friday morning). So the service is variable. We liked the Opuwo's atmosphere !
Accommodation was quite comfortable and everything went fine.
We all enjoyed the experience of being in the center of Opuwo! Friendly staff.
Very unfriendly receptionist. The rest oke. Not very luxuries
Beautiful place the owner is very kind, rooms very clean and spacious, the staff is very kind.
Well located and good for a guided visit to the Himba`s village.
It was a clean and nice lodge. Good food and fine service.
Nice and clean rooms. Very nice personnel at reception and restaurant.
I suggest to visit Himba village with the guide (his name is Martin) that the lodge offer.
Fine for what it was, and conveniently placed. Rather basic but adequate.
Not so nice, much better Mopane camping.
