Nice location, accomodation OK, they must improve the choice of their restaurant.
a wonderful, friendly and warm camp
A LITTLE BIT TO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS BECAUSE YOU RE OBLIGE TO EAT THERE
Mopane Camp is quiet and relaxed, with friendly staff, and nice and close to Opuwo for those interested in shopping / nightlife. The Himba village tour is a must - our guide Shinyu was excellent, and the village authentic, the highlight of our holiday!
Expensive for what it is. Nice surroundings and good staff. No hot water in the shower and the pool was filthy and crawling with insects.
excellent, very friendly staff, great food, good choice of wine, nice spacious tents, atmosphere very chilled and relaxed, very helpful in organising our himba village trip
fantastic..open fire cooking with friendly staff...tents fine...their Himba excursion a reason to come to Namibia in itself
Good welcome, tended camp with private bathroom without privacy Too much expensive compared to quality Nice to have breakfast and dinner outside close to the fire. Very kind staff
Mopane Camp has what it promised. Very basic accommodation with a flair of wilderness! An absolute positive alternative to Opuwo Country Lodge (which is also very very beautiful but much more expensive)! The staff was very nice, the food african and for regular tourists a little strange! We did love the stay though!
For us, this was the best lodging experience. A little piece of paradise for the pleasantness, the atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. we enjoyed it so much that we sadly left!
we did not have a 4x4 vehicle and therefore would have appreciated a warning of the conditions of the road into the camp, but once we got there... we ABSOLUTELY LOVED this camp!!! the bedding and pillows were the BEST I have ever slept on, the staff was friendly, the food was AMAZING, and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor showers on the great tents.
