This four wheel drive trail visits a variety of landscapes including the Kalahari and Namib Deserts and the rocky Karas Mountains. Every day on the trail provides its own unique challenge and this route is ideal for lovers of wide open spaces.
The trail starts in South Africa, in the dunes of the southern Kalahari and crosses the border into Namibia at Rietfontein. The route can be divided up into eight different sections which can include sights such as the Fish River Canyon, Quiver Tree Forest, Ai-Ais and the Kolmanskop Ghost Town near Luderitz.
Participants require their own 4x4 vehicle in Namibia.
