For the ultimate thrill, test your nerves and stomach as you take the ultimate ride. Enrol for an exhilarating experience in a Pitts Special plane. These unlimited aerobatic aeroplanes are capable of doing loops, rolls, spins, inverted flying and much, much more. Tumble through the skies in this two-seater plane as your pilot takes you for the flight of a lifetime. Experience the breath-taking scenery over Windhoek in a completely unique way. This is a truly wild ride! At the beginning of the trip, you will be taken to the airport, where you will have a pre-departure briefing. You will be shown around the plane, familiarising yourself with the aircraft you will be flown in while the pilot explains all the controls. During the briefing, the pilot will also demonstrate the type of forces you will feel throughout the flight, and explain the impact of the G-forces you will experience during a loop or turn. The Pitts Special is the brainchild of Curtis Pitts who wanted to build and fly an aircraft that would make the aerobatic planes of the day look like lumbering giants. The result was a lightweight but strong biplane. Over the past five decades, the appearance of the plane has changed little although the aircraft has been improved in many ways. Since its creation, the Pitts Special has remained a firm favourite for both competition and sports pilots alike. Its aerobatic capacities, with structural limits of +6 and -3 G forces, means that it is one of the best aircraft of its type. Naturally, the planes we use are maintained to the highest standards and you decide how daring you want the pilot to be. Throughout the flight, if at any time you want to ease off, the pilot will bring the pace down for a gentler ride. But once you're up there, the chances of this happening are unlikely!
