Game Extravaganza - Windhoek
An awesome opportunity to see lion, leopard, cheetah and rhino in their natural environment
For those who dare to stare into the eyes of Africa's wildest cats, we venture into the Namibian bush, from Windhoek, to feed sleek leopard, cheeky cheetah and awesome lion. Our game and cat feeding trips take us to two privately-owned game farms in the rolling plains and bush savannah of the Otjihavera Mountains. Rather than being shot or poisoned, the cats, considered to be rogue in the wild, have been brought to these sanctuaries to give the animals a second chance and offers the public the perfect opportunity to see these magnificent creatures at close range.
There are two options for this trip - the full-day and a half-day trip.
The full day
Amazing photo opportunities abound as you are taken on a game drive. Pass giraffe, rhino, mountain zebra and many species of antelope as the open-air truck drives you as close to Mother Nature as most people will want to get. It is the cats that steal the show though, as they tear their way through great chunks of meat in an impressive display of power. Watch the grace of the animals as they prowl around the trucks, less than meters away from you. The day includes lunch at a premiere lodge and is rounded off with sundowner drinks as several buck species graze on the lawn in front of you.
The Half day
This concentrates on the cat feeding. There is no game drive included in the day although there is the opportunity to see some wildlife as we drive between the farms. This day is also rounded off enjoying drinks at the lodge.
If you are really interested in wildlife you should consider joining one of our safaris in Etosha National Park, where there is a high density of wildlife. You could also consider spending time at one of the lodges near Etosha Park in order to see the game at your own pace.
