Windhoek City Centre Guided Walk

A guided walk through the historical heart of Namibia's capital city

The guided walking tour of the Windhoek city centre starts at the meteorites collection, situated in the middle of Post Street Mall (right outside the Cardboard Box Travel Shop office). Your guide will take you on a walk through the centre of the capital, give you some information on several historical buildings, statutes and other places of interest and inform you about the history of Windhoek and Namibia.

The walk takes around 3 hours and we will visit the following buildings or places of interest :

• Meteorites and Kaiserkrone
  
• Owela Museum
  
• Statehouse
  
• Christuskirche
  
• Tintenpalast with parliament gardens
  
• Office of Prime Minister
  
• Reiterdenkmal and Alte Feste
  
• Bank of Namibia
  
• Kaiserliche realschule
  
• Supreme court
  
• Zoo park
  
• Independence Avenue historical buildings
  

At the end of you walk, we invite you to sit down and enjoy a drink at a local café. Bring a camera and enough protection against the sun (sun glasses, hat and sun screen).
