Introduction: Red-billed queleas (Quelea quelea) are believed to be the most abundant bird species on earth, with an estimated 1.5 billion birds. Bushland grassland, dry thornveld and semi-arid regions are there preferred habitats, although their range includes from the very dry, to the very wet.
Distribution: Absent from southern Namib Desert, Sperrgebiet. Common in Etosha National Park, Caprivi Strip and most of central and northern ranges of the country. Large numbers can be found in the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve.Diet: Eats mainly seed of grasses and cereals. Downside to their diet is the damage done to crops such as wheat, millet, oats and sorghum. Insects taken include caterpillars, butterflies, crickets, bugs, dragonflies, spiders, termites and beetles.
Description: Characteristic black face mask, with some members sporting white or creamy face masks. Upper parts mainly pale brown, with dark brown wings and a brown tail.Breeding: Nests are a small oval ball of grass with a side-top entrance, built of grass strips, up to 6m above the ground. From 1 to 5 eggs are laid February to March and incubated for around 12 days.

A mid market lodge, situated on the Ongava Private Reserve, just south of the Andersson entrance to Etosha.
On a small hill on the extreme western side of Etosha - Dolomite is the newest (and fifth camp) to open within the park boundries. It is a small personal lodge as opposed to the traditional resort feel of the other camps within the park.
