Hotel Garni Adler
Swakopmund - Namibia
Hotel Garni Adler, (Garni means without restaurant) is situated on the beach front in the Namibian town of Swakopmund. The roof 'sun terrace' offers beautiful views of the Namib Desert dunes, and the mostly cold, icy, ocean.
This bed and breakfast establishment has a small bar with a lounge. It serves both a hot and cold style breakfast. (With eggs to order). As there is no restaurant on the premises, Irichs Restaurant, Die Kelder and The Tug are recommended by the owners, for their excellent wining and dining fare.
This is one of the few places in the area that has it's own indoor heated swimming pool, a much warmer alternative for taking a dip, than the Atlantic Ocean has to offer. There is also a sauna, and gym facilities next to the pool, for the more energetic visitor!
The hotel has 14 comfortably furnished rooms. There are 8 standard, 5 luxury and 1 studio. They all have en-suite bathrooms, and are equipped with a TV, telephone, room service, mini-bar and tea/coffee on request. The luxury rooms have a fridge, in-room safe and a tea/coffee station in addition to the facilities of the other rooms. Guests can lock up their valuables in the safe at reception, and a fan can be requested there if required.
There are many activities in and around the Swakopmund area, including the National Marine Aquarium, a transport museum, the Crystal Gallery and bird and dolphin watching.
Hotel Garni Adler has a beautiful garden next to the pool, complete with a small, grassy, sunbathing spot. There is also a laundry service, secure parking and garages, and English, German, French, Spanish and Afrikaans are spoken here. Children are also welcome.

Hotel Garni Adler is opposite the Swakopmund Aquarium on Strand Street

Top location, right on the beach. This is a very popular accommodation choice - and rightly so.
Close to the main beach and Swakopmund aquarium, also boasts a heated swimming pool
Absolutely unique! Built on stilts into the Swakop River - many units offer great views. Feels more like a traditional country lodge rather than an establishment in a busy tourist town.
