Situated approximately 5km from the centre of Walvis Bay, the main harbour town in Namibia, is the tastefully restored Amjicaja Guesthouse. Located in the Meersig Area, it is within walking distance from the Walvis Bay Lagoon. It is an ideal destination for visitors who prefer a coastal bed and breakfast stopover, to that of the larger hotels or guesthouses of the town, or in the holiday resort of Swakopmund, some 30km north.

With a range of accommodation available, members of the business community, families and individual tourists head for this charming house, set in a very quiet surrounding. The name Amjicaja was created by the owners and is an anagram of (some of) their grand-children's initials!

A hearty breakfast is served in the dining area although light lunches and dinner can be arranged. As this is a bed and breakfast establishment, the owners/managers will be only to pleased to recommend a suitable local bar/restaurant for those who prefer to dine out.

Accommodation is in either 5 luxury rooms or 1 family unit and a honeymoon suite. Facilities are standard in all the rooms: En-suite bathrooms, DSTV, switch phones, Internet connection, tea/coffee station, an in-room safe and a hair-dryer. The honeymoon suite is fitted with a jacuzzi.

The conference centre can seat up to 15 personnel, perfect for meetings, seminars and small conventions. The use of projectors and screens can be arranged.

Attractions of Walvis Bay are the lagoon with its prolific bird life, a variety of recreational possibilities, including a desert golf course, a choice of restaurants and bars, and adventure activities such as sea kayaking, Sandwich Harbour tours and dolphin cruises.
