Aru Game Lodges
Two game lodges, Veronica and Kalakwa
Aru Game Lodges are operated from two stunning and well established game farms, Veronica and Kalakwa. Covering an area in excess of 22 000 hectares, the farms, diverse in landscape and natural surroundings, offer an unforgettable and truly Namibian experience. Both farms are situated an hour and a half's drive south-east of Windhoek.
Veronica offers a typical Kalahari savannah landscape with red dunes and majestic shepherd's and camel- thorn trees complimenting the surroundings. The main building and thatched roof chalets are superbly perched on the crest of a dune affording spectacular 360-degree views. The evenings and early mornings are serene with Oryx and Springbok roaming at your doorsteps. The 10 luxurious fully air-conditioned en-suite chalets pay tribute to the great passion and personal touch that went into the construction and decoration thereof.
Kalakwa, located a mere 40 minutes from Hosea Kutako International Airport, offers landscapes ranging from savannah grasslands to bushveld and mountains. These diverse sceneries crowned with spectacular sunsets promise every visitor a taste of Africa at its finest. The spacious and luxurious en-suite thatched roof chalets are fully air-conditioned and the interiors breathe comfort and quality. The ambience of the main building and lapa epitomizes the African experience.
Aru Game Lodges offer the ideal breakaway with other activities such as quad biking, horse riding, sundowner excursions, clay pigeon shooting, stargazing, photographic hunting and walking trails. A fully equipped gymnasium and sauna at Kalakwa offers a fitness well-being, or you can just relax at the swimming-pools where you will be treated with snacks and drinks.

Hans and Claudia run an excellent guest farm - activities include game drives, learning about (and eating) local sheep, the art centre and carpet weaving. We think this is one of the best guest farms in Namibia
