Situated in the east Caprivi of Namibia on a peninsula on the northern bank of the Chobe River, Chobe Savanna Lodge overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Parks Puku Flats. The lodge offers discerning travelers a hideaway for those looking for an exclusive Chobe River experience. The area is renowned for its diverse and prolific wildlife, including the rare puku antelope.

Chobe Savanna Lodge is relaxed and informal, set in a classic African savanna environment with sweeping vistas surrounding the lodge. The focal point of the lodge is a thatched open sided main building which commands a 270 degree view over the Chobe River and beyond to the Chobe National Park. Located in the main building is the lounge, dining room and bar areas furnished with African inspired furniture in dark teak woods, perfectly in tune with the environment.

The charm of Chobe Savanna Lodge, with its sweeping views and wide vistas, lies in its beauty, peace and tranquillity, far from the "madding crowds" of large cruise boats and game drive vehicles - the emphasis is on complete relaxation and solace.

The lodge is managed by Anja & Johann, who are sure to give you a warm welcome and take care of your every need. Anja worked as a consultant with us at the Cardboard Box Travel Shop before joining Chobe Savannah so we have personal experience of her friendliness, hospitality and general helpfulness.

Game viewing:

Guests have a choice of seasonal nature walks, boat excursions in small manoeuvrable boats, ideal for fishing or close up encounters with wildlife along the rivers edge, or visit one of the remote villages to observe the deeprooted traditional life styles of the people.

The waters around Savanna are renowned for outstanding tiger and bream fishing. Fishing trips accompanied by proficient guides, together with the necessary fishing tackle can be arranged.

Directions

Chobe Savanna Lodge is situated on the Namibian side of the Chobe River and may only be accessed by private boat transfer from Kasane, accessed by a two-hour road / boat transfer from Victoria Falls, Livingstone or Maun by private charter.
