Emanya@ Etosha Game Lodge is a 5-star safari lodge situated only 20min drive from Namibia's number one tourist drawcard - Etosha National Park. It is en-route to the Von Lindequist Gate, the eastern entrance to the park and subsequently on to Namutoni Camp. It provides an option to stay outside of Etosha and use Emanya as a base and overnight destination. The location is also en-route to Ruacana Falls while to the north-east Rundu is under 4hrs drive away. This is a well-visited resting station before heading on to the Caprivi Strip, Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls.

Etosha is Namibia's flagship national park. After the rains have dried up any surface water, the only source of water for birds and mammals are at the waterholes. Lions are water dependant and the Okendeka, Aus, Rietfontein, Goas and Kalkheuwel waterholes all have good ambush cover. The Moringa waterhole at Halali is a good location to spot leopard, and cheetah prefer wooded cover, but away from hyena and lion who steal their kills.

Emanya opened in January 2011. Experience modern instead of traditional lodgings, although the predominately white buildings still have that magical African quality about them. Top cuisine is served and the lounge and dining area overlook the floodlit waterhole. Other facilities include conference amenities, a bar, a swimming pool with sun-loungers and umbrellas, a viewing deck, a wine cellar for tasting or private dinners, Internet conection and foot spa treatments.

Accommodation is in 20 luxuriously appointed chalets. This includes 2 Family Rooms. Sleep the night away on either a ¾ or a queen-sized bed. Modern en-suite bathrooms, some with showers, some with baths, a desk, tea/coffee station, air-conditioning, TV, in-room electric safe, telephone and room service are standard.

Emanya is set on a game-rich farm. Large numbers of kudu, eland, waterbuck, oryx, sable, giraffe, ostrich, roan antelope and black wildebeest drink at the floodlit waterhole. Activities predominately revolve around trips to Etosha in a custom-made 18 seater safari vehicle. Elevated seating enhances the game viewing experience, improving your photographic opportunities.

Directions:

from the B1, turn into C38 approximately 75 kilometers north of Tsumeb. The turn-off is sign-posted (road to the Etosha National park, Namutoni camp). for 6kms along this road turn south on to D3028, you should immediately see the entrace to Emanya @ Etosha and the lodge is about 2km along their 'driveway' from here.
