The family managed Etngo Ranch Guest Farm is a 4300 ha multipurpose working ranch, situated in close proximity to the Windhoek International Airport - Hosea Kutako, the gateway to Namibia for air-travelling visitors.

Etango Ranch Guestfarm is part of the 125 000 ha Namatanga Conservancy. This vast area where mountains, kalahari snd and central highland ecosystems overlap creating an area of unrivaled biodiversity. It is also a well known birding 'hotspot'.

The main complex consists of 3 bungalows which each consist of 2 spacious, air-conditioned en-suite twin/double rooms. These 6 rooms each have their own little verandah, with even stone/concrete pathways leading to the communal open fireplace, proceeding to the comfortable lounge-cum-dining room and bar.

Special emphasis is laid on comfort-for-the-visitor: extra large beds, bedding material, spacious shower, good lighting, 2 luggage racks, coffee and tea-making facilities. We also provide a clean, sparkling splash pool for the sunbathers - amidst a well-kept lawn, which is surrounded by indigenous succulent plants and trees.

The "Kraal" is an additional complex of 6 en-suite 'Rondawels'. These rooms are not air-conditioned and are standard in their furnishings. The "Kraal" is ideal for weekend equestrian visitors, mountain-climbers and -bikers and also serves as accommodation for our educational center during courses offered locally.

The "Nest" consists of 2 en-suite double rooms (without air-conditioners) with large joining Verandah, joining living-cum-dining room, TV (DEUKOM & DSTV), private thatched lapa, excellent birding possibilities, pond and a lovely well-kept garden.

If you enter or exit Namibia via the International Airport or just would like to enjoy true Namibian hospitality, then Etango Ranch Guestfarm is the place for you! This are a special venue that not only caters for normal Guestfarm visitors, but also for visitors entering Namibia by Air, or passengers that need to be at the airport very early in the morning. Transit passengers, who have only a few hours at their disposal, can spend these precious hours enjoying our hospitality and the peace and tranquility of our farm.

While savouring your sundowner, in the vast bush-veld, watch while the sun explodes into magnificent colours and disappears below the horizon. On your return absorb the warm welcome of the open fire beneath the stars. - Departure during winter is at 16h00 and in summer at 17h00. Duration is approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours. Morning - After a mouth watering, typical Namibian breakfast, tantalize your adventure-buds while we venture out and explore the rest of the farm. The drive takes us through the foothills of the Bismarck Mountains. Allow the silence and tranquility to capture your soul, while we share information about our farming operation, the fauna and flora. Often we are fortunate to see the Hartmann’s Zebra, often well camouflaged by the surrounding landscape. Birding breakfast: We invite all birding enthusiasts to enjoy breakfast whilst surrounded by the sweet sound of our talkative friends, that have made our farm their home in large flocks. Nature Walks: For the adventurer at heart: venture off into the wild on foot, following our dedicated walking routes. Join our nature walk accompanied by our experienced tour guide who offers insight into the farming operations, fauna and flora, as well as the opportunity of close encounters with our game species. All guided Nature Walks must be booked in advance. Farming: Our guests can also experience the world of a Namibian farmer – cattle ranching, vaccinations, tagging, sheep dipping, fence repairs, water-supply maintenance etc.

Etango Ranch Guestfarm is situated north of the Bismarck Mountains in the timesaving proximity of the Windhoek International Airport 'Hosea Kutako'.

The Ranch is 45 km east of Windhoek and 4km from the Airport Terminal. We consider ourselves fortunate - the Ranch lies parallel to the Runway and is pretty undisturbed by take-off and landing noises. Road access is easy and uncomplicated: from the tarmac National Road (Trans Kalahari Highway - B6) onto a well-maintained farm road (1.5km to the premises).
