Etosha Mountain Lodge

Etosha - Namibia

Etosha Mountain Lodge share's a 75km border with Etosha National Park. It is set in 52,000ha of private reserve. The lodge is nestled amongst a range of dolomite hills and offers the combination of luxury and wilderness.

There is a wonderful view from the main building. This complex includes the reception area, lounge, dining room, bar and a swimming pool surrounded with teak decking. Below the main lodge there is a magnificent cellar, well-stocked with South African wines.

Accommodation is in 6 luxury chalets and the magnificent Himba suite. All have gleaming revamped patios that overlook the breathtaking expanse of Mopani forest. They all have en-suite bathrooms – with a shower, bath and separate toilet – telephone, mini-bar and a fan. All windows are fitted with gauze netting. The Himba suite has it's own splash pool.

All meals are from the chef's 'a la carte' menus. Etosha Mountain Lodge pride themselves on their excellent cuisine and service.

Pre-booked day trips to Etosha and to the Himba tribe are available. The lodge also have their own morning and afternoon game drives.

Expect to see both black and white rhinoceros, giraffe, eland, mountain and plains zebra, kudu, oryx, cheetah, leopard, springbok, blue wildebeest, black-faced impala, warthog, duiker, sable, waterbuck, hartebeest, hyena and lion.

It is not uncommon for lion, cheetah and leopard to visit the spot-lit waterhole.

Etosha Mountain Lodge provide free transfers to and from the lodge and their own private air strip, only 10 minutes drive away. Although it is on the boundary with Etosha it is probably to far to use as a base for visiting the park (as the nearest entrance to the park, near Okaukuejo, is around 150km's away).
