Etosha Mountain Lodge

Etosha Mountain Lodge share's a 75km border with Etosha National Park. It is set in 52,000ha of private reserve. The lodge is nestled amongst a range of dolomite hills and offers the combination of luxury and wilderness.
There is a wonderful view from the main building. This complex includes the reception area, lounge, dining room, bar and a swimming pool surrounded with teak decking. Below the main lodge there is a magnificent cellar, well-stocked with South African wines.
Accommodation is in 6 luxury chalets and the magnificent Himba suite. All have gleaming revamped patios that overlook the breathtaking expanse of Mopani forest. They all have en-suite bathrooms – with a shower, bath and separate toilet – telephone, mini-bar and a fan. All windows are fitted with gauze netting. The Himba suite has it's own splash pool.
All meals are from the chef's 'a la carte' menus. Etosha Mountain Lodge pride themselves on their excellent cuisine and service.
Pre-booked day trips to Etosha and to the Himba tribe are available. The lodge also have their own morning and afternoon game drives.
Expect to see both black and white rhinoceros, giraffe, eland, mountain and plains zebra, kudu, oryx, cheetah, leopard, springbok, blue wildebeest, black-faced impala, warthog, duiker, sable, waterbuck, hartebeest, hyena and lion.
It is not uncommon for lion, cheetah and leopard to visit the spot-lit waterhole.
Etosha Mountain Lodge provide free transfers to and from the lodge and their own private air strip, only 10 minutes drive away. Although it is on the boundary with Etosha it is probably to far to use as a base for visiting the park (as the nearest entrance to the park, near Okaukuejo, is around 150km's away).

- Species you may expect to see on the Etosha Mountain Lodge property include Black Rhino, White Rhino, Giraffe, Eland, Mountain Zebra, Plains Zebra, Kudu, Oryx, Cheetah, Leopard, Springbok, Blue Wildebeest, Warthog, Duiker, Black faced Impala, Sable antelope, Waterbuck, Hartebeest, Hyena and Lion.

Directions:
- From Etosha
- Take the C38 for 44 km from Okaukuejo. Turn right onto the D2695 past Epacha for 60km. Turn right onto the D 2697 for 12 km (Note 3x open and closed gates on this stretch). 1km after the 3rd gate turn right through Game Fence. Travel 3km and you will see Etosha Mountain Lodge on the right on the Mountain.

- Follow C38 and turn left onto D 2695 then follow directions as from Etosha (above)
OR- Take C40 to Kamanjab for 121km. Turn right at our signboard after 121km onto D 2671. Follow for 26km. Turn left at our Signboard onto D 2680 (3x Open and closed gates on this stretch). Road runs into our Main gate.

Traditional slightly formal up-market lodge. Situated on same property as Eagle Tented Camp
A small private lodge, borders on Etosha however the distance to the park entrance makes it fairly un-suitable for day visits
Within 10km of the Etosha entrance this mid-range lodge offers an ideal base from which to explore the park
One of the four camps situated inside the park, generally less popular with visitors than Okaukuejo or Namutoni but has the advantage of a secluded quiet spot lit waterhole
