Etusis Lodge

Situated in the Etusis Nature Reserve, Etusis Lodge is a mere 2½ hours drive from the capital city of Namibia, Windhoek on the route to Swakopmund. Etusis Lodge, situated in a 12 000 hectare nature reserve. Activities range from hiking trails, game drives in horse carriages to balloon trips.

Etusis Lodge fits in pleasantly with its environment and is situated in a nature reserve where an unbelievable variety of abundant wild animals, plants and minerals can be found. Etusis Lodge comfortably accommodates guests in 5 luxury double tents. There are central rest rooms, washing facilities and showers. Etusis Lodge tents are far enough from each other to make sure that you will hear nothing but the noise of the African wilderness - absolute privacy.

Hiking trails are approximately 30km (18.6 miles) long and only suitable for the more experienced hiker, although there are several shortcuts. You are strongly advised to take sufficient water, a packed lunch and a radio telephone. The initial 23km (14.2 miles) is a relatively flat Savannah. There is a good chance that you will catch sightings of kudu, oryx, blesbok, springbok, warthog, steenbok, bat-eared fox, suricate and many different kinds of birds.
