Gocheganas Nature Reserve & Wellness Centre

"Gocheganas" is a Damara name, meaning: "Place of Camel Thorns, abounding with Candle-Pod Acacias", the Gocheganas Game Reserve is stocked with 21 different large game species totalling approximately 1,600 animals: rhino, bat-eared foxes, giraffe, mountain- and plains zebra, cheetah, jackal, leopard, blue- and black wildebeest, eland, oryx, red hartebeest, kudu, springbok, waterbuck, steenbok, duiker, klipspringer, ostrich and warthog.

The architecture of the accommodation & Wellness Village incorporates local arts and crafts in celebration of the culture of Namibia. The layout follows a body, mind and soul format: the hierarchy of courtyards leading up the hilltop to the main Wellness Citadel forms a spatial metaphor for the body's energy points. Each energy point is correlated to an element, character and a colour range, which forms the themes for the individual chalets and the Wellness Village. The concept is family friendly and perfect for honeymoons.

There are 16 totally private chalets under thatched roof with uninterrupted and spectacular views over the surrounding Reserve

The Crown Suite:

• This private suite caters for a maximum of four guests.
• Spacious master bedroom equipped with air-conditioner, television and stereo system, minibar, telephone and internet connection.
• En-suite bathroom with shower and bath under skylight, as well as an outdoor shower and a separate toilet.
