As its name suggests, Hilltop House is set atop a hill, and offers a commanding view over Windhoek which is only 5 minutes drive away. It is situated in a cul-de-sac in a quiet area of town, and this guest house has all the facilities you would expect from a larger hotel, yet manages to maintain a personal, welcoming touch. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind whilst staying in Windhoek, and many of their guests who stay on their first night in Namibia, choose to stay their last night as well.

A delicious breakfast tray, (and local newspaper,) is delivered to your room, or alternatively you can sit outside on the Oregon pine deck or by the sparkling pool. The staff can also prepare lunches and light dinners on request, although many of their guests prefer to visit Joe's Beer House, a pleasant walk in the day, although a taxi ride is favoured at night. There are several other popular restaurants in the area.

The 7 luxurious rooms at Hilltop House are beautifully decorated in a colonial style. They all have large en-suite bathrooms with environmentally friendly toiletries. The rooms have air conditioning, offering relief from the Namibian heat, a mini-bar, and 3 channel TV. A pine deck extends around the upper floor, giving many of the rooms an outside balcony. The larger honeymoon suite would more suitable for families.

Although their is no communal lounge, guests frequently congregate on the deck around the pool, an ideal spot to enjoy the picturesque Namibian sunset, over the Klein Windhoek valley.

Hilltop House is situated on Lessing Street in the Klein Windhoek suburb of Windhoek. From Schanzen, which connects Robert Mugabe Ave and Nelson Mandela Ave, turn north into Promenaden and then look out for a very sharp turn on the left had side into Lessing Street. Hilltop is a little way up on the left hand side.
