Immanuel Wilderness Lodge
Lodge accommodation Close to Windhoek
In the middle of the bush, set in a valley between the Khomas Highlands and Otjivahera Mountains, but still only 20mins drive from Windhoek, stands The Immanuel Wilderness Lodge. It is the perfect destination for visitors to Namibia who wish to visit the capital city, but at the same time revel in the calm and serenity of the African wilderness, either on arrival or prior to a return or onward journey.
If you are looking for a lodge that pride themselves on traditional Namibian hospitality and cuisine, combined with a personal family touch, then this is the place to go. In a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, delicious meals of a German and African flavour, are served in the charismatic dining area, complimented with either a glass of wine, a locally brewed beer or even a soft drink, from the bar.
The swimming pool is heated by solar energy and has low levels of sea-salt and chlorine. There is plenty of shade, as well as sun-loungers provided, to relax and unwind after a dip.
Accommodation is in thatched cottages, set away from the main house, which emphasis privacy. All of the rooms are decorated in African décor, and equipped with original, rustic furnishings. They have an en-suite bathroom, with toilet and shower, ceiling fans, and a terrace, which provides a beautiful view over the surrounding Namibian plains.
The main activity here are horse riding trips, alongside a dry river bed. They are not just a fantastic outdoor experience, but a great opportunity to enjoy the many different species of bird life, wildlife, stone formations, without forgetting the superb Namibian sunset, that can be experienced along the way.
There are also a number of well-marked walking trails on the Immanuel Wilderness Lodge property.
