Moon Mountain Lodge is a newly opened (late 2009) four-star hotel. The Lodge is situated reasonably close (50km) to Sesriem, the main entrance gate to the dunes at Sossusvlei.
Moon Mountain Lodge has accommodation in 11 luxury tented rooms, 4 tentes standard rooms, 2 executive suites / honeymoon suites & 3 self catering units, all with plunge pools and panoramic views of the surrounding desert landscapes and mountains. The rooms are all permanently errected tents built on wooden platforms raised above the surroundings by stilts. All the rooms here are en-suite while some are air-conditioned and have a mini bar.
The main lodge complex houses a bar, a 42-seat restaurant, library, media room and elevated sun deck.
Shaded parking is available at a nominal cost per day.
