Ntwala Island Lodge is a pristin and secluded Chobe destination. Intricate floating walkways link an untouched Namibian cluster of islands within the Mambova rapids where two mighty African rivers – the Zambezi and Chobe converge. Ntwala is only 80km upstream from the Victoria Falls and where white sands and palm trees add to the romance.

Ntwala Island Lodge comprises of four ultra luxury styled suites artfully appointed, each inclusive of a private plunge pool fringed by white sand and opulent game viewing deck, bay bath feature; indoor and outdoor shower; as well as a private sala extending enticingly out over the water we ensure personalised service, culinary expertise and quality privately guided big game activities. Activities

• Game Viewing -Game cruises along the Chobe River with possible sightings of elephant, hippo, buffalo, lion, rare puku, Chobe bushbuck and many more.
  
• Fishing- Fly fishing or conventional fishing from either a mokoro in the rapids or motorized boat on the Zambezi, Chobe or Kasai Rivers for tigerfish, bream and many other species.
  
• Bird Watching -Spot some of Africa's rarest birds in the varied habitats of the islands and surrounding floodplains: Rock pratincole, Pels fishing owl, Pygmy geese, African skimmers.
  
• Guided Walks - There are many unrestricted walks on offer, including an Afro botanical tree walk where you learn about the traditional uses of plants and trees.
  
• Cultural - Visit a traditional fishing village and learn the timeless ways of the local people.
  
• Mokoro Trips - For bird watching, fishing or just pure relaxation while exploring the nearby wild islands and waterways.

Directions

By air:

• Direct charter onto Impalila Island. Private charters must obtain authority to land and take off in Namibian territory (either Mpacha or Impalila depending on destination) from DCA in Windhoek - Tel +264(61) 234100 Fax: +264(61)236649
  
• Commercial flights to Victoria Falls with either a charter or road transfer to the island.
  
• Commercial flights to Kasane in Botswana with boat transfer to Ntwala Island Lodge.

By Road:

• Guests can drive from Johannesburg through Botswana to Kasane - (tarred road), for collection by boat from Kasane Immigration (Chobe river). Secure parking available.
  
• Visitors driving through Botswana must also provide proof of third party insurance from within the Southern African Customs Union or third party insurance can be purchased at the Botswana border control.
  
• All foreign vehicles are subject to a road safety levy upon entry - 10 pula at the time of writing.
  
• Namibian road tax needs to be paid when entering Namibia.
