Ombinda Country Lodge
Outjo - Namibia
Ombinda Country Lodge is situated 1km south of Outjo and is 1hrs drive from Namibia's famous Etosha National Park. It was built on the site of the old Outjo municipal rest camp, and is set in lush and shady gardens.
Reception is at the main gate, just 50 metres away from the open-ended main building. The restaurant, bar with a satellite television system and pool table can be found here.
The bungalows were refurbished recently and are clad in wood to give a log-cabin feel to the lodge. There are 25 thatched double bungalows. Each has two single beds and extra mattresses can be provided for a family stay. All of the bungalows have en-suite bathrooms, a fan and mosquito nets. They are furnished with indigenous materials.
Relax on a lazy-lounger by the swimming pool. There are also wooden tables and chairs provided here.
Before heading off for the day, why not have a healthy lodge breakfast or perhaps a plate of bacon and eggs? Lunch and dinner are a set meal.
Nearby is the municipal 9 hole golf course.
Ombinda Country Lodge is a good stopover before heading on towards Etosha National Park, the Vingerklip, Petrified Forest and Twyfelfontein.
