Little Ongava is situated within the Ongava Game Reserve, a private 30,000 hectare game reserve that is located adjacent to the southern boundary of Etosha National Park. Little Ongava is built along a crest of a hill with wonderful views onto the plains below and is the ideal lodge from which to base your activities when visiting Etosha, this is the most exclusive of the three Ongava Lodges and one of the most exclusive lodges in Namibia.
Accommodation at Little Ongava comprises 3 spacious suites which each have their own plunge pool, en-suite bathroom, a “sala”, an additional outdoor shower and a view of the waterhole in front of camp. Little Ongava’s main area lends itself to relaxed, stylish dining under a Namibian sky or under thatch.
Lion, elephant, cheetah, oryx, springbok and hartebeest can be seen at many of the water holes in the park. The Ongava Reserve has resident white and black rhino, giving guests staying at Little Ongava the opportunity to see both species. Guests at Little Ongava share a dedicated guide and Land Rover ensuring the optimum nature experience at one of Africa's great wildlife destinations.
Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha National Park, day and night drives, hides at waterholes and walks with armed guides are enjoyed on the private reserve.
If you are looking for more rustic accommodation try Ongava Tented Camp. Ongava Lodge also offers excellent accommodation, but is less exclusive than Little Ongava.

Etosha is Namibia's premier game viewing destination, large herds of plains game concentrate around the waterholes in the dry season and makes for exciting game viewing. Species that can be seen year round include Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Springbok, Oryx, Kudu and the Diminutive Damara Dik-Dik. Birdlife is also good with Ostrich and raptors in abundance. Local specials include the Short-toed Rockthrush, Haulaubs Francolin, Rockrunner, Ruppells Parrot, White-tailed Shrike and Chestnut Weaver.
Ongava Game reserve is one of the few private game reserves in Southern Africa where you have a chance of seeing both Black and White Rhino. The reserve also has a good population of Lion, Eland, Mountain Zebra, Black Faced Impala and a number of other antelope species.
