Oropoko Lodge

Oropoko Lodge is situated on a hilltop which offers breathtaking views. From the main lodge, restaurant and bar areas one gains spectacular views over the surrounding savannah. The waterhole visible from this area is frequented by rhino, oryx, ostrich and other game species. The panoramic views are amongst the most spectacular of any lodge in Namibia. The swimming pool at Oropoko Lodge is built around a massive granite rock, and is the ideal place to spend the days relaxing. Evening game drives allow you a closer view of the animals.

You are also likely to see some of the lodges giraffe and the wonderful buttertree which is common in this region of Namibia. Often the game drives end on a hill some distance from the lodge where you are met with sundowner drinks and snacks. Meals are served in the spacious restaurant and guests are often amused by the tree climbing dassies (rock rabbits).

Accommodation is in thirty well equipped en-suite rooms and three suites, facilities include a wall safe, air-conditioning and mini-bar. Overall Oropoko is a great place to relax and take in some wildlife.
