Sinclair Guest Farm
near Helmeringhausen - Southern Namibia
Sinclair Guest Farm is situated west of the small town of Helmeringhausen, in the south-west of the Namibia, and borders the Namib desert.
Third generation Namibians, Günther and Hannelore Hoffmann, welcome you to their working guest farm, an ideal stop-over on your journey to Sesriem and Lüderitz. The fascinating landscape and scenery of the area, is a photographer's or painters dream, and geologists would find the old copper mine of great interest.
The dining room and bar are in the main building. Many guests comment on the high standard of Hannelore's mouth-watering cooking. There is a healthy breakfast choice of home-grown/made bread, butter, jam, (cottage) cheese and milk. There is a set dinner menu served from home-grown meats and vegetables. Although mainly a dinner/bed/breakfast establishment, light lunches can be ordered for longer staying guest. The farm also has a full liquor license.
The farm has five en-suite double rooms. No fans or air-conditioning are needed as it is not a malaria area. They are all set amongst an attractive and lush garden, making it an ideal location to relax and unwind after a hard days drive.
Activities include a walk up the local mountain to view the beautiful sunset and surrounding scenery, a walking tour around the farm, or an afternoon stroll to the old copper mine.

Directions:
From the C13 around 14 km south of Helmeringhausen turn onto the C27 (this road used to be called the D407) for 50km. Sinclair is clearly marked on your left hand side although the lodge is a further 3km from the road

Helmeringhausen consists on not more than a hotel, a petrol station and an agricultural museum. Luckily the hotel is a good one, with friendly owners.
