Despite having a long and almost impossibe to pronounce name (unless you are of Germanic origin) Vogelstrauskluft offers good simple value for money accommodation near the Fish River Canyon.

The lodge overlooks an ancient dry riverbed with spectacular sunsets in this arid and interesting part of Southern Namibia. The main building with the restaurant, lounge, curio shop, patio and swimming pool is centrally situated and the thatch and stone finishing blends the infrastructure into the environs. Nature drives to the edge of the Fish River Escarpment may bring Kudu, Oryx, Springbok, Ostrich, Zebra and Giraffe into the lens of the nature lover.

Apart from the 24 twin bedded, air conditioned en-suite rooms, we also offer walks, quad biking, stargazing and exclusive accommodation in our luxury Bush camp down in the Fish River Canyon.

Directions

Situated 90kms south-westof Keetmanshoop on the D463. After Seeheim, drive another 25kms and then take the Feldshahorn turn off (D463) to the south. The lodge is another 22kms further along this road.
