Accommodation and Wellness near the Gamsberg Mountain in Namibia

As well as offering accommodation and a range of the usual activities such as horse riding and hiking, Weissenfels Guest Farm specialises in alternative activities for healing such as Reiki at their Vortex Wellness Centre.

Accommodation is in double rooms, some en-suite rooms are available. All meals are served in traditional Namibian farmhouse style. Overnight campers are welcome, and day visitors for drinks and snacks.

Reiki - The art of activating, directing and applying Natural Universal Life Force Energy to promote healing and wholeness. It can prevent disorders and cure and maintain the body in a state of well-being. The technique used is the Usui System, a Japanese term which means "UNIVERSAL ENERGY".

Sandawa - All that takes place in nature is permeated with a mysterious music which is the earthly projection of the music of the spheres. In every plant and in every animal there is really incorporated a tone of the music of the spheres. [Rudolph Steines]

Dead Sea Mud Packs - A relaxing therapy to re-generate and feed the skin. Mud from the Dead Sea is used combined with base oils to enhance & enrich the texture of your skin.

Aroma Bubble Bath - Gently works the muscles - Detoxes with fragrances - Relaxes mind & body.

Detox Programme - This is a 7-day programme which assists us to detox our physical, mental and spiritual planes, to bring about balance and well-being.

Colour Therapy - Colour therapy makes the most of light in all its myriad forms by absorbing it into our being. By using colour we benefit from its vibrancy and energy-enhancing qualities.

The Labyrinth in the valley of DaHa - The labyrinth is a path of prayer for all people seeking the Divine, regardless of the tradition in which one stands. The winding path leading to the center, based on a labyrinth laid on the floor of Chartres Cathedral around 1200, serves as a mirror to reflect the movement of the Spirit in our lives. The labyrinth has only one path, so there are no tricks to it, and no dead ends. Walking the path with an open mind and an open heart touches our sorrows and releases our joys.

• Walks may be undertaken at any practical time of the day, but preferably early mornings or late afternoons.
  
• Full moon walks are very special.
  
• Reservations are to be made at least 10 days prior to the intended walk.
  
• You need to tell us whether you are one person, a couple or a group of adults, young adults or children between 8 and 14
  
• Participants are transported 4km from the Vortex Wellness Centre to the Valley of DaHa.
  
• A basic briefing is given on the use of the labyrinth, setting a mood of "Silence / Being".
  
• After the labyrinth walk persons may choose to discuss their experience individually or as a group with any one of the "guardians". These discussions are treated confidentially.
  
• Refreshments are served after the 'walk'.
  
• Participants are transported back to the Vortex Wellness Centre.
  

Directions

From Windhoek, take the C26 towards Walvis Bay via the Gamsberg pass. The guest farm is on the right hand side about 110km from Windhoek.
