Zum Potjie
near Otavi - Namibia
Zum Potjie Restcamp is 380kms from Windhoek on the B1 between Otavi and Tsumeb. The camp is set on a 50ha small-holding and offers a cozy Namibian farm atmosphere.
There is a small restaurant in the main building, and beer and wine can be ordered throughout the day and into the evening. Breakfast includes bread, cheese, butter, eggs, fruit juices, milk and home-made jams. Lamb, turkey, duck and chicken can be served in the dinner menu, as well as the 'Potjie', a traditional Afrikaans stew made in a cast-iron pot with 3 legs, placed over an open fire. A light lunch is also available.
Guests can also relax in and around the crystal-clear swimming pool.
The guest farm has 5 spacious bungalows. Each room has 2 single beds, an en-suite shower and WC, a table and chairs, a fan, mosquito net and a tea/coffee station. Secure parking is directly in front of the bungalows.
Activities include a Botanical walking trail, bird watching, a farm museum and a open-air Kavango kraal museum. Day trips to a traditional village, Tsumeb and Grootfontein Museums, the Hoba Meteorite, Otjikoto Lake and the Dripstone cave, can be organized.
Children of all ages are welcome at Zum Potjie Restcamp.

Zum Potjie is situated 8km north of Otavi on the B1 road.
