| The world famous Skeleton Coast is one of the main draw cards for tourists to Namibia. The Skeleton Coast is named because of the skeletons of numerous ships that were wrecked along the coast line. Accommodation is available at Terrace Bay and Torra Bay. Day visitors are required to obtain a permit at the entrance to the Skeleton Coast Park (either at Ugabmund or Springbokwasser). We recommend a fly-in safari as the best way to see The Skeleton Coast, as visitors by land are often disappointed. Torra Bay is only open from 1 December until 31 January, and is inundated with Namibian anglers, enjoying the fish rich waters of the Skeleton Coast.
Terrace Bay - Namibia's Skeleton Coast. This resort is the most northerly resorth on the coast and a popular angling spot. Full board and economy acomodation is offered. |
