Places to stay near Sossusvlei & Sesriem, Namibia
One of the main highlights of Namibia is the dunes at Sossusvlei, we offer a selection of accommodation in this area. As a general rule the closer to Sesriem (the entrance to the park) the more expensive the accommodation, so it is important to strike a balance between cost and distance to the dunes when choosing a lodge. Sesriem / Sossusvlei
- Betesda Rest Camp - budget choice, catering for large groups and individual travellers
- Desert Camp - cheap self catering lodge - very close to the entance to the Namib Naukluft Park
- The Desert Homestead - mid-range accommodation, good value for money
- Kulala Desert Lodge - upmarket lodge with private entrance to the dunes at Sossusvlei
- Kulala Wilderness Camp - upmarket tented lodge, on same private reserve as Kulala Desert Lodge
- Le Mirage Desert Lodge & Spa - Moroccan architecture is strangely out of place in Namibia but works suprisingly well, good choice of lodge
- Little Kulala - luxury lodge with guided tour to the dunes using the lodges own private entrance
- Little Sossus Lodge - mid-market choice, good value for money
- Namib Desert Lodge - budget choice, fairly far from the dunes
- Namib Naukluft Lodge - good solid choice, on beautiful property
- Sesriem Campsite - closest to the dunes - camping only
- Sossusvlei Lodge - right next to the Sesriem Campsite, best for keeping driving to a minimum
- Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge - most luxurious lodge in the area, air-conditioned rooms and private butler
- Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp - luxury lodge, decorated in african colonial chic style
- Weltevrede Rest Camp - best budget option
Solitaire (north of Sossusvlei)

- Zebra River Lodge - excellent choice of accommodation, very friendly with most informative guided trip into Sossusvlei
NamibRand Reserve (Private reserve south of Sossusvlei)
All these lodges are on the private Wolwedans nature reserve, this is a destination in its own right and we reccommend a minimum of 2 nights at one of these lodges combined with one night at a lodge closer to Sossusvlei
