Entrance to Namibia's west coast recreation area is free of charge. Please be very careful to only drive on public and indicated roads as off-road driving can seriously harm this fragile ecosystem. This area is predominantly used by anglers in Namibia. An angling permit (obtainable from Ministry of Fisheries in Swakopmund, Henties Bay and Windhoek) is required and there are restrictions to the size and quantity of fish caught. |
The Cape Cross Seal Reserve makes up part of the Recreation Area.
