Introduction: Estuarine wonder worm (Marphysa sanguinea) have flattened bodies with slender and jointed bristles. Features of the anterior lobe of the head include 2 swollen palps and 5 antennae. This species is a favoured bait for anglers.
Distribution: Mouth of the Orange River and lower coastal Sperrgebeit region.
Diet: Minuscule sea food.
Colouration: Bronze-yellow body.
Breeding: Not known.Max size: 25cm.
