On this Namibian safari you will see the famous Namib Desert elephant as well as the desert black rhino - two of Africa's rarest and most obscure large mammal species. This is a very special safari and should prove to be the highlight of your trip to Namibia.

We start our safari driving up north to the border of Kaokoland, home of the Himba people. We will spend the night at Otjitotongwe Cheetah Farm. The farm is home to both wild and tame cheetahs. You can view the feeding of cheetahs, ensuring superb photographic opportunities. This area is part of shallow sea that once covered northern Namibia. (Lunch, Dinner)
1 night camping.

2 & 3

Today we drive along the Huab and Aba-Huab Rivers tracking mainly for the Desert Dwelling Elephant erroneously thought a subspecies of the African elephant. These animals amazingly adapted to its surroundings in this arid part of Namibia, and need less water and food and can travel much longer distances than their bigger relatives. We visit Twyfelfontein with its famous rock engravings and paintings. This is probably the largest and most spectacular collection of its kind in Africa. We spend the nights at Aba-Huab Camp run by local Damara people. (B, L, D)
2 nights camping

Early morning tracking leads us further into the breathtaking plains where we will overnight under the wonderful Namibian sky. Striking for any astronomist and nature lover. Doros volcanic crater. (B, L, D)
1 night rustic camping

5 & 6

We arrive to Jamie's Camp at the foot of the Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain (2.507 m). With a local Namibian guide we spend one full day tracking the remarkable Desert Black Rhino. Searching not only for the Desert Black Rhino but also other large mammals, we also look out for bird life, driving and walking down riverbeds to have a closer look for all the tiny little inhabitants of this region. 2 nights camping

We have to say good-bye to this remarkable landscape and leaving for Windhoek. We will drop you of at your requested accommodation in Windhoek, full of unforgettable Namibian memories. (B, L)
