Visit Etosha, Sossusvlei and Swakopmund

This safari visits two of the most popular highlights in Namibia, while on the safari you will spend time game driving in the impressive Etosha National Park and viewing the massive sand dunes in the Namib Desert at Sossusvlei. The safari also visits many of the other attractions of northern Namibia such as Waterberg, Twyfelfontein in Damaraland and Swakopmund along the Skeleton Coast.

Sesriem

We collect you from your accommodation at 7.45am and the safari departs from Windhoek at 8.30am. Roadside lunch in the desert near the famous Gamsberg Mountain and we arrive mid afternoon and set up camp in Sesriem under the ancient camel thorn trees of the Namib Desert. We climb Elim’s Dune before sunset and take a desert walk back to camp. Dinner prepared by your safari guide with group assistance and evening is spent around the campfire.

Sesriem

We rise before dawn and travel to Sossusvlei for the sunrise. We explore this area on foot and also visit Dead Vlei and Narra Vlei. We enjoy a hearty brunch in this unique environment before returning to camp for a light lunch and then visit Sesriem Canyon this afternoon. Dinner prepared by guide with group assistance and evening spent around the camp fire. (B,L,D)

Swakopmund

After an early breakfast there is a leisurely drive through the Namib Desert to the lagoon at Walvis Bay. Here we look for the many aquatic birds that make their home here such as flamingos, pelicans, avocets, cormorants and many more. We arrive at our bungalows in Swakopmund for lunch and you have the afternoon at leisure to enjoy optional activities such as quadbiking, scenic flights and tandem parachuting. Overnight accommodation in bungalows on a twin share basis. (B, L, D)

Spitzkoppe

This morning you have free time to visit the Swakopmund museum, explore the town, visit the aquarium or partake in optional activities such as sand boarding and quadbiking. After lunch we depart for Spitzkoppe and arrive late afternoon and set up camp. Dinner prepared by the guide with group assistance. Evening spent under a million stars. Overnight remote bush camp. Aba Huab

We have an early morning guided walk to Bushman’s Paradise. Our drive through to our camp takes us through some beautiful and dramatic landscapes and we keep our eyes peeled for the rare and elusive desert elephant. We arrive at camp mid afternoon and have lunch, the rest of the afternoon is spent at Twyfelfonteinwhere we take a local guide to explore this unique area. We also visit the Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain near sunset. Dinner prepared by your guide with group assistance. (B, L, D)

Okaukuejo - Etosha National Park

After breaking camp we pick up fresh supplies at Outjo and then head on to the Etosha National Park gate for lunch. We then game drive to camp and after setting up our tents we take a late afternoon game safari visiting many waterholes and looking for species such as elephant, lion, rhino, kudu, giraffe, springbok, zebra and many more. Dinner prepared by your guide with group assistance. Night time viewing at flood lit waterhole. (B, L, D)

Namutoni - Etosha National Park

A sunrise departure from camp for a full morning game drive. Transit across the Etosha Park visiting various waterholes along the way. We spend the hottest part of the day at Halali camp where we have lunch and enjoy a swim or an afternoon snooze. Late afternoon game drive to Namutoni via the famous Etosha Pan. Dinner prepared by your safari guide with group assistance. Night time viewing at flood lit waterhole. (B, L, D)

Waterberg Plateau

Once again we are up early for a sunrise game drive and then return to camp for breakfast. We have a short stop at Lake Otjikoto or Lake Guinas before proceeding to Otjiwarongo for fresh supplies Late afternoon the safari arrives at Waterberg Plateau where we will set up camp for the night. Witness the fabulous colours of the lichen growing on the rock face of the plateau at sunset. Dinner prepared by your guide with group assistance. (B, L, D)

Windhoek

This morning you can hike the many short trails at the base of Waterberg Plateau and your guide will lead you to the top of the plateau for a stunning view of the Kalahari. After brunch we return to Windhoek via the Okahandja Craft Markets for those last minute gifts. We arrive in Windhoek where you can enjoy an after safari drink and share your memories of your safari.   • Luggage limits are 10kg per person and we will only carry soft bags to minimize luggage damage. One small day pack for hand luggage and a sleeping bag are separate.
  • Safaris are undertaken on a twin share basis. Should you be travelling alone we will ask you to share with another traveler of the same sex, should there be none then you will have a single tent and not have to share accommodation where provided.
  • The Safari is run on a participation basis - and you will be expected to help with the camp chores
  • All drinks must be purchased by you during your safari including mineral water.
