This eight day budget camping safari combining superb game viewing in Etosha National Park, tracking with the san people in the Kalahari Desert and the tranquility of the Okavango Delta, Susuwe – a remote game park in the Caprivi area and where we utilize a local community campsite before finishing in Livingstone, Zambia - home to the mighty Victoria Falls and a highlight of any holiday.
It is possible to join a transfer back to Windhoek after the safari, alternatively there are regular buses and flights back to Windhoek or Jo'burg from where you can fly to the international destination of your choice.

1 Etosha National Park |
You will be collected from your hotel in Windhoek at about 7.30 and after a short pre- safari briefing will depart. After stopping briefly at Otjiwarongo for fresh supplies we have lunch at the entrance to the Etosha National Park, Namibia’s prime game viewing destination. We game drive to camp and if time permits enjoy another game drive before sunset. Overnight camping. Dinner prepared by the guide and camp assistant and evening is spent around the campfire or at the floodlit waterhole by the camp, which is often visited by endangered black rhinos coming to quench their thirst after sunset |
2 Onguma Camp - near Etosha National Park |
Sunrise departure from camp for full morning game drive transiting across the park visiting various waterholes along the way and look out for the many species of animals. We spend the hottest part of the day at Halali camp where we have lunch and enjoy a swim or an afternoon snooze. Late afternoon game drive to Namutoni via the famous Etosha Pan, a vast depression which can even be seen from space and the white shimmering haze disappearing into the horizon. Dinner prepared by guide and camp assistant. Spend the evening around campfire. |

3 Bushmanland |
Enjoy a short early morning game drive and return to camp for breakfast before we travel via Lake Otjikoto to Tsumeb for fresh supplies. A short lunch is taken at Hoba Meteorite – the world’s largest meteorite and we continue through to Grootfontein to refuel before entering the Kalahari Desert. We arrive at our camp mid afternoon and walk with a San tracker to collect bush foods experiencing how the traditional San collect veldt food –generally a fascinating experience for westerners where we are able to ask questions of how they survive in today’s modern world. This evening we join the local community around the campfire for singing and dancing. Overnight camping. Dinner prepared by guide and camp assistant |

4 Guma Lagoon Camp |
Today we have a very early start and travel via Tsumkwe and into the Kalahari Desert in Botswana. Our sandy track takes us through the heart of the Kalahari to the edge of the Okavango Delta. The last 13kms are 4x4 only and some pushing maybe required, but the jewel of the Kalahari awaits us at the end of the day and this wetland lies like an oasis in an otherwise harsh environment Overnight camping and evening meal prepared by the Guide and Apprentice Guide. 5 Okavango Delta |
We take only what we need - each of our guests can take only 1 small day pack and depart early morning initially in a motor boat before transferring to our mokoros (dug out canoes), we relax while our polers push us through this beautiful and serene area enjoying the tranquility of the delta until we reach an island camp, our destination for the night. We’ll have the opportunity to game walk and learn about this fragile and unique ecosystem. 6 Guma Lagoon Camp |

7 Susuwe National Park |
An early morning start to cross the border back into Namibia and on to Mahango Game Reserve. This little jewel of a game reserve is home to many unusual species such as roan and sable antelope, buffalo, large herds of elephant, hippo and many aquatic birds not found in many areas of Namibia. We leave the park and have lunch overlooking Popa Falls before continuing through the Caprivi Strip to Susuwe National Park. This is a wild park where we camp without fences and spend an exhilarating night listening to the night sounds of the animals and maybe get the chance to enjoy “close up” encounters, please note that there are no fences and that wild animals such as hyaena may wander through camp. 8 Livingstone - Zambia |
leisurely breakfast and short game drive before heading through to Katima Mulilo. This busy and bustling town is the last frontier of Namibia and we glimpse our first sight of the mighty Zambezi River. We cross the border into Zambia and have lunch on the banks of the Zambezi. We arrive at Livingstone mid afternoon and we drop you at your accommodation. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch |
