This 13 day safari is a combination of the 6 day Himba & Skeleton Coast safari and the Southern Namibia Safari and includes visits to Sossusvlei, the Namib Desert, Lüderitz and the Fish River Canyon, Kaokoland and the Skeleton Coast. We collect you from your accommodation at 6.45am and depart from Windhoek 7.30am. Short stop at Otjiwarongo for fresh produce. We arrive at camp by lunchtime and set up our tents near the cheetah enclosure. We learn about tame and captive cheetah and the impact they have in c ommercial farming areas. The evening is spent around the campfire. Lunch and dinner are included. |

This morning we continue north and find our first himba people en-route to Opuwo, the regional centre of Kaokoland. We take a local himba guide with us and explore the area surrounding Opuwo looking for traditional villages of these fascinating people. Through our local guide we ask questions and get an insight into the lives of these still traditional people and how they cope with the 21st century. Dinner prepared by guide with group assistance. Overnight bush camp next to a Himba village evening spent around the camp fire. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |

Early departure for the drive south to Damaraland, we make some short stops en-route before making our way to Ongongo Waterfall, a thermal spring, for lunch and an afternoon dip. We then drive south through Damaraland looking for many species of animal such as giraffe, oryx, springbok, mountain zebra and elephant. The natural oasis by the camp is a favorite haunt for the rare and elusive desert elephant. Evening spent around the camp fire. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |

We game drive towards the Skeleton Coast National Park where we have the whole day to explore this remote and isolated stretch of coast. This area is famous for it's shipwrecks and linear oasis where we find small game. You will have the opportunity to walk along this remote and comb the beach for washed up relics. Short stop at the seal colony at Cape Cross before reaching camp which is on the beach and listen to the roar of the Atlantic Ocean. Evening meal cooked by guide with group assistance. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |

We stop at Henties Bay for some fresh produce before heading inland to the famous Brandberg. This afternoon we take a game drive to search for rare and elusive desert elephant, black rhino and other animals that inhabit this region. Evening meal cooked by the guide with group assistance. This morning we take a guided walk to the White Lady bushman painting. We return to Windhoek via the Okahandja Craft Market for those last minute curios. Arrival in Windhoek approximately 4.30pm. Overnight in a twin room with shared facilities. Breakfast and lunch are included. Evening meal at own expense. |

We depart from Windhoek at 8.30am. We travel south passing through the "window to the south" and crossing the Tropic of Capricorn. We stop at Mariental for fresh supplies before having a roadside lunch. We arrive at Quiver Tree Forest late afternoon and pitch camp. Afternoon at leisure to explore forest and rock formations. Dinner prepared by guide with group assistance. Evening spent around camp fire. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |

Depart camp early with a short stop in Keetmanshoop for fresh supplies. Arrive at Hobas mid morning, walk the rim of the canyon and visit the main viewpoints, we have lunch at the canyon rim. This afternoon we drive through to our rustic bungalow in the Aus Mountains overlooking the Namib Desert. Overnight remote bush bungalow (multi-share) or camping Dinner prepared by guide with group assistance. Evening around camp fire. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |

Depart Klein Aus for Luderitz day trip. We arrive at Kolmanskop for a guided tour of the ghost town in the desert dunes, and then explore Luderitz. After lunch we drive out to Diaz Point and look for the penguins on Halifax Island. We return to Klein Aus late afternoon, stopping at the viewing hide for the feral horses of the Namib. This evening your guide prepares dinner over the camp fire with group assistance. Overnight camping or remote bush bungalow (multi-share). Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |

Leisurely departure for the scenic drive to Sesriem and we have lunch en-route in the desert. We arrive at camp mid afternoon and do a late afternoon walk through the desert from Elim's Dune. Pre dawn departure from camp to drive to Sossusvlei, we watch the sunrise from this spectacular and unique area. Mid morning brunch after exploring the different vlei's. Walk to Dead Vlei before returning to camp for a swim and a rest. This afternoon we visit Sesriem Canyon. Overnight camping and dinner prepared by guide with group assistance. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |

Early departure from camp to drive through the desert to Walvis Bay and visit the lagoon, we arrive at our bungalows for lunch and this afternoon you have time for optional activities such as a scenic flight or quad biking Overnight rooms are on a twin share basis. This morning you have free time to enjoy the many optional activities available such as sand boarding, quad biking, tandem parachuting or just explore the town. After lunch we drive back to Windhoek via the craft markets at Okahandja for those last minute gifts. We return to Winshoek where you can enjoy an after safari drink and share your memories of your safari. Breakfast and lunch are included. |
