This safari visits the unique Caprivi area of Namibia. This is not a scheduled safari and is only run for private groups. We are happy to customise this itinerary to include any special interests or requirements your group might have, this can also be included as part of a longer itinerary which takes in some of the central parts of Namibia.

Day 1
Roy's Camp |
Your guide picks you up at your accommodation in Windhoek. We travel north to the Kavango region. tonight we spend at Roy's Camp, where good facilities and a waterhole make for a pleasant evening. There is the opportunity to do a guided bush walk here and birding enthusiast will be impressed by the variety of species which can be spotted here |

Day 2
Popa Falls |
On our way north the environment becomes more lush, we pass through the town of Rundu and tonight we spend on the banks of the Okavango river, close to Popa Falls. We explore the Kavango river by canoe and may encounter hippos. Sundowner drinks tonight will be on the banks of the River. |

Day 3
Mahango / Poppa Falls |
We set out out explore our surroundings, including the Mahango Game Park. A savanna Forest with large flood plains, this park is well-known for extensive herds of elephant and presents an ideal opportunity to study the gigantic Baobab trees and the numerous waterfowl species indigenous to the area. Tonight we will camp at the same site as last night. |

Day 4
Mazambala |
Proceeding further into the Caprivi, we reach magical Mazambala Island Lodge on the Kwando River. Horseshoe Bend is a special treat that features prolific wildlife. Lions and Hyena are common, as is buffalo and an abundance of bird life. |

Day 5
Mamili Game Park |
Accessible only to four-wheel drive vehicles, Mamili Game Park represents a true wilderness. Flood plains, savannah and large tree species combine to provide an unforgettable experience. Camping on the riverbank puts us in the front seat for spectacular wildlife encounters. |

Day 6
Kalizo Lodge |
We continue to the extreme east of the Caprivi region and stay the night at Kalizo Lodge. Nearby Katima Mulilo is an interesting African town, situated on the mighty Zambezi River. Fascinating roadside markets are ideal for souvenirs. The lodge offers an excellent venue for fishing and the tiger fishing is especially good |

Day 7
N'Kwazi Lodge |
Traversing back through the Caprivi, we overnight close to Rundu. N'Kwazi (meaning Fish Eagle) Lodge, provide for boat trips on the river, or simply a relaxing afternoon by their pristine pool. |

Day 8
|
On our way back to Windhoek, we visit interesting sites on the way. The Hoba Meteorite outside of Grootfontein is one of our stops. The site of this extraterrestrial visitor offers detailed information and an interesting gift shop. |
