Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge is situated on one of the eleven farms that make up the NamibRand Naure Reserve, in the heart of the Namib Desert. Guided nature walks and hiking trails will provide insight into the scenic and ecological aspects of the environment with its wide diversity of desert-adapted flora and fauna. At the end of the day the blanket of stars, which light up the desert sky, are brought to life through the lodge's high-powered computerised telescope.

Meet your pilot at Eros Airport at 08:30 and commence on a low level scenic flight along the Naukluft mountains to the airstrip at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge. The lodge is situated in the northern reaches of the private NamibRand Nature Reserve, encompassing 180 000 hectares of pristine desert wilderness, for residents only. The lodge accommodates only 20 guests and each desert suite is beautifully decorated to complement the desert's shades. After a short transfer to the lodge, a light lunch will be served and you will have the early afternoon at leisure. Afternoon tea will be served and following that the resident naturalist will take you on a 4x4 excursion to explore the open grass plains, fossilised sand dunes and red sand dune belts of the NamibRand. The excursion ends in the dunes with sundowners and a spectacular desert sunset against the towering Naukluft mountain range. The diversity of landscapes encountered on this afternoon's excursion will be unforgettable. Arrive back at the lodge for dinner. Overnight at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge on a full board basis. |
| 2 | Early this morning, we set out on a guided 4x4 excursion to Sossusvlei, site of the highest sand dunes on earth. The sight of the the undulating sea of sand dune mountains is so beautiful it will be etched in your mind forever. In the afternoon we return to the NamibRand and continue its exploration on foot or by 4x4 quad bike. Return to the lodge for dinner and for star lovers, a chance to revel in the desert's glittering night skies aided by a high powered computerised telescope in the lodge's custom-built star gazing facility. Overnight at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge on a full board basis. |
| 3 | You may have last glimpses of the desert on a morning desert excursion in the NamibRand before breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure before you are transferred to the airstrip for your onward light aircraft flight to Eros Airport where you will arrive at approximately 12:00. |

The flight times are not the same as from/to Eros Airport but are as follows: Departure time in Swakopmund is 10h45 and arrival back is 14h00 Kindly note that these flight times are subject to change. Your Dune Hopper flight from Eros or Swakopmund may have stop-overs en-route at other airfields to pick up or drop off other passengers, however maximum travelling time will be no longer than 2 hours |
