Passport/Visa:
A valid passport is required for the duration of the expedition with at least 6 blank pages for entry/exit stamps and necessary visas. Please ensure that you have all the necessary visas for entry into the countries that you will be visiting. The operator will not be held responsible if you are denied entry into any of the countries should the necessary visas not have been obtained.

Insurance:
Travel insurance is compulsory. It is for your safety and convenience. No client will board without travel insurance. We recommend that you arrange travel insurance prior to your departure to Southern Africa.

Health:
On most expedition’s malaria prophylaxis are essential. Please consult your GP or travel clinic for updated advice on which tablets you should take. Insect repellents, coils, clothing and netting are also recommended for protection against bites. Vaccination may be required for some of the more exotic destinations; please check with your GP or travel clinic for updated requirements for the countries being visited. We enter Malaria Area on day 9 on the 21 Day Cape Town to Victoria Falls itinerary.

Although a medical kit is available on board we advise all clients to bring their own personal kits, a suggested list of necessary medication will be supplied upon request. Please ensure that you take your own specialized medication for any ailments. (British Airways Travel Clinic has thorough info on travelling in Africa Tel.021-419 3172)

Luggage/Baggage:
Travel as light as possible. Each passenger is limited to one backpack/canvas kit bag/soft suitcase (MAX 15 kg) plus a small cabin bag for items required during the day. The operator reserves the right to refuse any luggage over 15 kg.

Currency:
In many countries of Southern Africa the South African Rand is accepted, however it is some times more beneficial to take US$ in cash or travellers cheques. You will be advised which currencies you will be dealing with before departure. You can use Rand in Namibia and Zambia. Zimbabwean visas it is better to pay in Rand. It is also beneficial to pay the optional Delta trip in US$. All credit card payments will be charged with a 5% surcharge. We suggest that you bring extra cash for optional activities.

Bookings and Cancellation:

A safari can only be booked once a non-refundable 25% deposit has been paid and a signed booking form has been received by us. Full payment is required at least 30 days before departure. Cancellations are subject to the following fees; 15 to 30 days = 50 % total fare; 7 to 14 days = 75 % total fare; 0 to 7 days =100 % total fare. If the client fails to join a tour, or joins after departure, or leaves it prior to its completion, no tour fare shall be refunded.

Payment:

Payment can be made in the following ways:

  • Credit Card
  • Bank Deposit - bank deposit fees and currency exchange must be paid by the clients. We will need a faxed copy of the deposit slip.
  • Credit Card Surety - Authorise us to money from your credit card, which is kept as surety. On arrival you can decide to pay either cash or credit card.
