This angling safari on the coast of Namibia allows you to fish along the Skeleton Coast as well as try your hand at fresh water fishing on the mighty Zambezi River. At the Atlantic Ocean expect to catch Cob, West Coast Steenbras, Blaktail and various species of shark. The Zambezi River offers you the chance to catch tigerfish, catfish and bream.

After arriving at Walvis Bay or Swakopmund airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Swakopmund. After settling into your accommodation, your guide will give you some tips on what to expect of fishing in Namibia. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to take in the sights of this lovely old German colonial seaside resort. There are many good restaurants in Swakopmund where you can dine on your own account. Try out a different one every night while you are in Swakopmund.

Start your angling holiday with ski-boat angling between Swakopmund and Mile 14. The boat will be launched either from Swakopmund Mole or Mile 17. Expected catches are Cob, Black tail, West Coast Steenbras, Catfish and various species of shark (cow sharks and bronze whalers being the most common).

Today you will try your hand at surf angling along the 300km coastline of the West Coast Recreation Area. Try your luck at all the best fishing spots along the coast; be it at Rondeklip, Blare, Bennie se Rooi Lorrie (Bennie’s Red Truck) or even Sarah se Gat.

These days are spent either surf or boat fishing, the choice is yours. By now you should have an idea where your lucky spot is.

After breakfast you will be transferred to Walvis Bay for your flight to Windhoek. Once you have settled into your Windhoek accommodation, you will have some time left to get to know the city. Ask your guide to recommend a good restaurant for dinner on your own account.

You will be transferred back to the Windhoek Airport for your flight to Katima Mulilo. From there you will be transferred to a ‘fishing lodge’ situated on the Zambezi river, about 20 km outside of Katima. No wasting here, after lunch you start angling on the mighty Zambezi river by boat and will enjoy an incredible sunset before returning to the lodge for dinner.

8 - 11
The next few days will be spent chasing after Tiger fish; hook Africa's premier freshwater game fish and your rod comes alive in your hands as the Tiger fish dives, fights and tails along the surface offering the angler, weight for weight, the battle of his life. Apart from the famous Tiger fish (up to 12 kg), one may expect to catch various other species such as African Pike, Broadhead Catfish, Sharptooth Catfish, Blotched Catfish and Leopard Squeaker. You are encouraged to support the catch and release policy of the lodge.

This morning you have your last chance to watch the famous Fish Eagle and take in the sounds of the Caprivi. After lunch you are transferred back to Katima Mulilo for you flight back to the Windhoek Airport.
